Description
In life, we sometimes encounter painful conversations that we tend to deal with ineffectively or avoid altogether. In these kinds of situations it always helps to look at them from a new perspective. Taking yourself out of the conversation and viewing as an observer lets you see the situation in a new light and gives you more power to deal with it.
In this workshop, participants will use role play to look at painful conversations in a new way. Participants will perform “plays” that re-enact exaggerated, abstract versions of the conversations using improvisation. Using this process, the play becomes further from reality and gives people a chance to separate themselves from the issues they're facing. As a result, participants gain perspective on the situation, lose the significance of it, and gain clarity about the outcome.
