If you die at night, all evil players are drunk the next day and night.
STORYTELLER NOTES:
Remember that the Shinkan's ability, if active, lasts for the next day and night. The evil team is not drunk on the night the Shinkan dies, so any other effects that night work as intended.
The Shinkan punishes evil for killing them by dulling their powers.
Playing as the Shinkan
As would be the case with any "demon-bane" roles, consider claiming strong information roles to bait a kill at night. Evidence of your existence is largely provable, especially with "loud" Minions and Demons such as the Al Hadikhia, Arbiter or Vizier: if their abilities don't work, then you did! As such, you are reasonably well confirmed, as well as having been a boon to the good team.
Example
Maddie is the Shinkan. They die on Night 3. The next day, the Psychopath attempts to kill the Empath, and it fails. The Psychopath is executed that same day.
Bluffing as the Shinkan
Bluffing as the Shinkan does require some level of "sacrifice" on your team's behalf, as it will require them to act inactive. A Poisoner poisoning a dead body, a Fearmonger not changing their pick, the Cerenovus self-maddening, etc. Additionally, the Demon has to not kill on the corresponding night. However, this is an extremely powerful bluff, as there is some degree of mechanical confirmation around the Shinkan's ability, so simulating it in full lends a lot of credence to the bluff.
Example
Kamilla is the Hypnox claiming to be the Shinkan. They select themselves on Night 2. On Day 3, they inform their team and they coordinate a night and day of no evil impact.
