Now listen here, bub. I've got five hundred bones on Morozov over there, so no funny stuff. Stick to the plan, and make sure he makes it out alive. If he goes down, we all go down. You get me?
ABILITY:
On your first night, choose 3 players (not yourself). If 2 are among the last 3 alive, you win with the winning team, even if dead. If any die, you might die at any time.
STORYTELLER NOTES:
Remember to change the Fixer's alignment to that of the winning team, should the Fixer meet its criteria.
The Fixer places their bets and wins no matter what - or else.
Playing as the Fixer
Like the Politician, you get to choose which side you play for - but unlike the Politician, who can change on a dime depending on which team is winning, the Fixer has to make their choice at the start of the game. So don't back down from defending your chosen players, and make sure at least two of them make it to the very end. If one dies along the way, it's no big deal, but given that you might die at any time, you'll ultimately be a thorn in the good team's side, as it will cause confusion as to what may have caused your exit. All is not lost should your chosen players not quite make it, since, as a good player, you still adhere to the same win conditions as the good team. You have two shots at winning, which is great - it just may not be entirely helpful, especially if you've accidentally chosen an all evil trio!
Example
David is the Fixer. He selects the Washerwoman, Shabaloth and Colossus on Night 1. The Washerwoman is executed on the first day, and David dies along with that night's kill on Night 4. The Shabaloth and Colossus ultimately make it to the final 3, and David doesn't care what happens next, because no matter who wins, David wins.
Bluffing as the Fixer
Are you feeling called out for defending players who may not necessarily gel with town's information? No problem! You're the Fixer - and you're just playing to your ability. The Fixer gives evil players a viable reason for taking certain positions on certain players, which means you can vote irregularly, nominate players outside of your "chosen three", and generally be a nuisance to the good team. Consider including a good player among the three just for credibility, as you don't want to point directly to your team - but also note that should any of them die, you'll be expected to die suddenly as well. Don't worry, you say, it's just a "might".
Example
Isabella is the Godfather bluffing as the Fixer. She takes up a staunch defense of the Fang Gu, the Drunk, and the Pacifist. The Drunk is executed on Day 3, and Isabella chooses herself with her ability, suggesting she died to the Fixer's ability, and not the Godfather's.
