Living on the edge isn't safe, but the view is certainly better.
ABILITY:
You register as evil and the Demon to good abilities. If you are executed and either 5 players remain, or the dead equal or outnumber the living, learn the Demon is one of two players.
STORYTELLER NOTES:
Opt for whichever condition fits the player count: on smaller Grimoires, 5 players will remain before the dead equal the living, so pay close attention to when the Daredevil can die and still receive information.
As with the Sage, you can give the Daredevil other players that register as the Demon, should the need arise.
The Daredevil appears evil and trades its survival for vital information.
Playing as the Daredevil
Dying by execution is generally the worst way to go in Blood on the Clocktower, but the Daredevil doesn't live by the rules - it craves execution, so long as it's at just the right time. You register as evil and as the Demon, so town's information will ultimately point to you - but that's precisely what you want, isn't it? So long as you can live just long enough, you'll be privy to some of the most powerful information in the game, which means not only dodging town's accusations, but the Demon, too, who may want to take you out of commission before you're able to gather info.
With that said, there is something to be said for withholding your role, playing conservatively, and trying to steer clear of info roles that might implicate you. Confide in a select few and let them advocate for you, in the event that suspicions arise. And then, when the time is right, give town the grand reveal, getting executed in the process!
Example
Carla is the Daredevil. She immediately claims to her neighbour, the Gossip, and has been seen as a possible Demon by the Fortune Teller. The Gossip uses their ability to confirm the Daredevil is in play, ultimately convincing the Fortune Teller to withhold their information on Carla. On Day 4, Carla is executed, and gains her information that night.
Bluffing as the Daredevil
A good character who registers as an evil Demon, and can gain information on who the real Demon is when the stakes are highest? Sounds like a perfect Demon bluff - if, and only if, you have some means of carrying on with the game after you're executed. Unlike many roles that gain information at night upon that night's death, you don't have the luxury of passing your demonhood to a Minion or Outsider, so a backup plan is essential if you're going to pull off bluffing as the Daredevil. A Scarlet Woman, a Lil' Monsta that has changed hands, or a Pit Hag who can turn an Evil Twin into a Demon are all viable fallbacks, but each come with their own distinct downsides. You'll be trading power for information, and sway within town, so consider that before going through with your master plan.
Example
Terry is the Ein bluffing as the Daredevil. Having been seen by multiple players as the Demon, he advocates for his own execution later in the game. He claims to learn that night that two players - neither of whom are the Zwei he has just passed to - are the Demon.
