Pardon the interruption, but this drink comes courtesy of the fair lady in the red dress. She sends her warmest regards.
ABILITY:
Each night, choose a player. They are poisoned until you die. Before dawn on the night equal to Minions +1, you die, even if drunk or poisoned.
STORYTELLER NOTES:
Remember to set a note regarding Lady Lace’s time of death! Without it, you may miss the chance to kill Lady Lace when you should, and potentially corrupt town’s information.
Lady Lace causes multiple players to be poisoned throughout the game, dying a dramatic death not long after.
Playing as Lady Lace
You are a Poisoner with greater potency by far, but unlike the Poisoner, you are on borrowed time: maximise your effect by sniping high-value roles, and cause as much chaos as you can before your time is up.
Given that you must die after a certain number of nights, you can coordinate with your Demon such that it might cover your demise: have the Demon kill you in the night, or sell a situation where an Assassin, Gossip, or other non-Demon death occurred.
If no such conditions exist in the game, you may also want to consider putting yourself up for execution before your time expires: though this is a loss for the evil team, and your poisoning will be reversed, at least you’ll have covered your tracks such that there may be no obvious sign that you were ever in play.
Example
Penny is Lady Lace. She poisons the Chef on Night 1, the Empath on Night 2, and the Gambler on Night 3. The Demon kills an already dead player. On Day 3, the Storyteller announces that Penny - and only Penny - is dead.
Fighting Lady Lace
If Lady Lace is on a script, consider making a note of who dies on the night that corresponds to when Lady Lace should die: there is a good chance that if nothing seems irregular, the evil team just lost one of their Minions. Reverse engineer the information you have on hand to work out who was poisoned, and when, and you’ll be able to determine what information is trustworthy.
Example
Murphy is the Empath who is poisoned on Night 1, receiving a zero. His neighbours do not change. On Night 4, he receives a 1. Murphy can infer that Penny, who died on Night 3, may have been Lady Lace.
Jinxes
Preacher: Lady Lace still dies if their time expires while under the effects of the Preacher’s ability.
Plague Doctor: If the Storyteller gains Lady Lace’s ability, they may poison 2 players on subsequent nights: on the 3rd night, all effects are removed.
Thaumaturge: Lady Lace still dies if their time expires while poisoned due to the Thaumaturge's ability.
