Andrew Gn is a vibrant fashion and textile designer from Singapore who led his own house for nearly 30 years in Paris. Drawing upon cross-cultural inspirations from Southeast Asia, European and American Art with theme-based collections, Gn dressed many famous figures from Lady Gaga to Catherine, Princess of Wales. Join us for a docent-led tour of Andrew Gn: Fashioning the World at Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) for an exploration of how more than 100 of Gn's exquisite ensembles connect to decorative and historical art. We'll also visit PEM's Asian Export Art Gallery to view silk, china and lacquered screens from China, Japan and India that align with Gn's world.
The tour is Monday, January 26th at 11 am and is $25 per person which includes all day admission to the museum. Lunch will be available in the museum cafe. Contact Margot Walthall at margot.walthall@gmail.com for more details.
