Some of us may have visited the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, that gothic palace in Fenway. Here is an opportunity for a private tour with an experienced docent. You will see the museum in ways that you never have before.
We will be gathering at the Gardner on Friday, 9 at 11:30 for our special tour. Our experienced docent will focus on the work of Fabiola Jean-Louis, a multi-disciplinary artist who "invites visitors on a journey through the ancient and eternal, earthly and divine, personal and political." Her work is crafted from the intricate marriage of paper pulp, mineral stones, shells, metals, glass, and more. Click here for a glimpse of her work entitled Waters of the Abyss: An Intersection of Spirit and Freedom.
The cost of this excursion is $28 per person, which includes admission to the museum as well as the tour. Lunch following will be in the cafe at nearby Simmons College. Please note that the Gardner requires upfront payment to be completed no later than two weeks prior to the tour date. Jennifer Coplon will be collecting the fee via check or electronic transfer. Please be in touch with her ASAP jencoplon@gmail.com to reserve your space and complete your payment no later than Monday, April 21. This tour is limited in size.
