BOLLI is going to the opera -- actually the Citizen's Bank Opera House in Boston. This beautiful building is home to the Boston Ballet, the opera and Broadway in Boston. Join us on January 11 at 12:00 pm for a one-hour tour that includes historical information about the building, including its murals. From backstage and onstage, we will learn what happens when there is a production, such as an opera or ballet.
The cost of this tour is $15 and it is limited to 15 people. The group will have lunch after the tour at a nearby restaurant.

The fully restored Citizens Bank Opera House is one of the finest examples of the vaudeville circuit palace at the pinnacle of its development. Designed in a combination of French and Italian styles by Thomas White Lamb, one of the foremost theatre architects of his day, it was erected under the close personal supervision of Edward Franklin Albee to memorialize his late partner, Benjamin Franklin Keith. Because it was constructed as a memorial and tribute to vaudeville’s greatest impresario, it was built with a degree of luxury in its appointments that is almost unrivaled.
