Bak, a Holocaust survivor, incorporates painting tools into his extraordinary and vivid paintings. Bak was born in Lithuania, immigrated to Israel in 1948 and made his permanent home in the Boston area in 1993. His paintings refer to mass death through metaphors and allegories.
The Pucker Gallery was established in Boston in 1967. The Gallery exhibits an eclectic and sophisticated collection of contemporary art by over 50 international artists. The collections include ceramics, paintings, photographs, mobiles, works on paper, and sculptures.
Pucker Gallery offers one free hour of validated parking at the Prudential Center Garage. The garage driving entrance is located on 79-99 Exeter Street. The two nearest MBTA stops are Hynes Convention Center and Copley Station on the Green line.
