It's what you all have been waiting for -- a BOLLI trip to see Leopoldstadt by Tom Stoppard in its first American production. Our own BOLLI star, Glenda Fishman, has procured discount tickets at $30 a piece for the matinee on Sunday, September 29 at 2 pm. Our tickets will be in the orchestra and normally sell for up to $129. This performance will be followed by a Humanties Forum, a post-show discussion led by the Huntington. We'll be having brunch prior to the show at Lucie in the Colonnade Hotel.
We have a limited number of seats for this performance. Payment by Venmo is preferred but checks are also accepted. Deadline for payment is September 14. For this event, tickets are restricted to current BOLLI members plus one significant other. Contact Glenda Fishman gstarfish@aol.com to make your payment.
The Huntington does not have a parking garage. We recommend that you research nearby parking opportunities, including those offered on SpotHero.
Leopoldstadt originated in London's West End The British production went on to have a sold out run on Broadway. The play is the winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Play. In London, it won two Laurence Olivier Awards, also including Best Play.
Leopoldstadt is the latest masterpiece and most personal play from Tom Stoppard. It tells the story of two brothers in Vienna during the heart of European culture, who have conflicting views of prosperity, both for their family and Jewish people.
