The Brandeis Women's Studies Research Center, which we have visited twice before for outstanding special exhibits, is hosting a private tour for BOLLI members and their guests on Friday, December 6 at 11 am. The focus of the exhibition is the aftermath of the Dobbs decision and its impact on women's rights. There is no charge for this tour but you must register by contacting Jennifer Coplon jencoplon@gmail.com. The Women's Studies Research Center is housed in the Epstein building, a short walk from Turner Street. The group will have lunch together after the tour at the South Street Cafe.
The tour guide is Cheryl Weiner, Education and Outreach Coordinator at the Women's Studies Research Center.
In the words of the Research Center:
Wrongs & RIGHTS brings together five decades of work supporting the intergenerational battle for reproductive rights, while speaking in a wider sense to the erosion of rights in America after the June 2022 overturn of Roe v. Wade. Presenting over 20 pieces in various media, the exhibition is a mere sample of the countless works and rich perspectives on the subject, created by artists across all backgrounds, genders, and generations.
