Here's a chance to visit Old Ironsides and participate in a private interactive experience on the ship. The USS Constitution is a three-masted wooden frigate of the United States Navy, is the world's oldest commissioned naval warship still afloat. She was launched in 1797, the third of six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794.
On Saturday, July 12, our group will meet at 11:30 for a self-guided tour of this famous historical tall ship, otherwise known as the USS Constitution. At 12:30, we will convene for a more intense exploration of the history of the ship, led by a docent.. The cost of this trip, which includes admission to the ship and museum, is $15. For this tour, we can accommodate guests as long as they are accompanied by a BOLLI member. We will be having lunch together at a nearby restaurant shortly after 1.
Please contact Judy Bernstein judylbernstein @gmail.com to register, indicating the number of participants and whether you will be joining for lunch. Since the museum requires an upfront payment, there is a July 1 deadline for payment. Judy accepts Zelle, Venmo and checks as follows: Zelle (judylbernstein@ gmail.com) Venmo (@Judy-Bernstein-6) or check to 36 River Street, Apt 363, Waltham Ma 02453.
