Immune  Thrombocytopenia  Purpura,  the immune system is stimulated to attack our own body's  platelets.  Most of the time, this is due to the formation of antibodies against platelets.  T-cells, a type of white blood cell, will target platelets directly in a tiny number of people. In any normal person's body, the number of platelets is around the range of 150,000  to 450,000  per microliter of blood. The rareness of ITP may cause people to be unaware of its existence. Thrombocytopenia can be defined as a  decreased number of platelets in the blood,  meanwhile,  Purpura is defined as the purple discoloration of the skin, as with a bruise.
