The heavy corvette alligator is designed to hold and control the sea, as well as attacking and dealing massive damage to coastal bases
Heavy naval assault - The alligator is a formidable unit at sea, capable of posing a threat to the entire confederation navy. When a proper attack direction is chosen, the alligators are highly likely to win naval confrontations. It is advisable to attack perpendicular to the enemy's naval line formation. Catching an enemy off guard greatly increases the chances of winning an engagement.
Aviation zoning - Due to the anti air systems, the Alligator can fend off aviation. At the third headquarters, it is possible to guard the coastline of your base without the need for anti air systems. Beyond the third headquarters, masses of Alligators can also cover the sea side from aviation, even when the enemy navy is absent. This effectively cuts off or weakens any avia attacks from the sea.
Recon - Due to the relatively high speed, the alligator can be used to check enemy positions. It has a superior view range of +1 cell more than vikings, hence when correctly carried out, can check the enemy without being detected. This also helps in baiting the enemy into an attack from the wrong direction, only to strike them at a different location.
Coastal base annihilation - The Alligator is able to strike a coastal base while remaining completely out of reach for almost all units and buildings. This makes it possible for the alligator to destroy all units in the vicinity and comfortably clean the enemy's base. It is recommended to strike the headquarters or construction yard of the enemy first so as to prevent the enemy from shifting their base further inland before you destroy it.
