Seraphim

Mech dreams come true

Seraphim is a very versatile and mobile mech with the ability to transform, making it both very versatile and mobile.

How to Use

Seraphim is first unlocked at Headquarters level 3, making it a midgame unit which can only be truly rushed at high ranks. In general it can either be used in air or ground mode, between which it can switch freely. It needs to be mentioned that unlike Vertex and Thor it has no fuel limitations making its overall movement type in midair similar to Cyclones, especially if one considers that it also has the ability to strafe and therefor shoot enemies while moving sideways or backwards, which coupled with its high range and good speed makes it perfect for kiting other units.

This is especially the case if one waits for its passive ability, overdrive, to be recharged by retreating between attacks, as it not only temporarily increases its speed but also doubles its fire-rate.

When used in such a way it can also be used to pick off individual enemy units, as only jets and Mole are capable of beating it in a 1v1. Other counters like Jaguars and Porcupines can simply be avoided by switching between air and ground mode to best counter them and only become dangerous to it in greater numbers.

In air mode it can also be used in combination with Cyclones as they can tank the anti-air for it, therefore protecting, allowing it to even fight smaller naval fleets or to finish off what the Torpedo Platforms couldn't defeat.

It is also useful for attacking the back of a base which is often only protected by anti-air which it can simply avoid by switching to ground mode. This is especially useful when the enemy has most of their army outside their base and can't pull it back quickly enough to protect it. It needs to be mentioned though that this kind of maneuver only works when there are no Hawks.

Another and undoubtedly the strongest use case is when stationed inside an army of Zeus, Typhoons and Energy Shields as it allows Seraphim to use its punishment missiles without fear of dying, as it is motionless during this ability usage. In this case it is best compared to a Torrent with higher reload and less range, but significantly higher damage output.
