The Special Vehicle Factory is first unlocked at HQ2 and requires an Assault Vehicle Factory to be built first. It allows the player to build Typhoon, Torrent and Energy Shield which should only ever be used as support unit for other units like Zeus or Hammer as they tend to be very weak or in case of Typhoon and Energy Shield even defenseless when used without other units.

The Special Vehicle Factory has even more Hitpoints and Armor than the Assault Vehicle Factory allowing it to withstand even a direct hit of a superweapon.

Most of the time it is enough to build 1 Special Vehicle Factory as most army compositions only need a relatively small number of special vehicles. It is only recommended to go for more than 1 at very high ranks, where the resource production is very high.
