METHOD OF EVALUATION

70% Case Comment and 30% Class Participation 



COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will focus on constitutional cases recently decided or currently before Canadian courts.  Readings may include judicial decisions, advocacy materials (including facta, pleadings, etc.), and legal academic writing. Students will be introduced to the “case comment” as a form of legal writing and will each author their own case comment on a recent constitutional case.  Students will be expected to participate actively in class discussions and to make occasional short in-class presentations relating to assigned readings or to their own case-comment-in-progress.
