METHOD OF EVALUATION

Students will be evaluated on the basis of a research paper (75%) and class participation (25%). 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The focus of this seminar is on developing an understanding of health law and health care ethics, and of the relationship – and tensions – between law and ethics in the health care context. The course will cover various health law topics, including resource allocation in health care, patient safety, medical tourism, medical assistance in dying, organ donation, and assisted reproductive technologies.
