COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces students to the laws governing the conduct of business in the corporate form in Canada. Topics covered in the course include forms of business organisations, nature and legal effects of incorporation, process of incorporation, legal liabilities of corporations, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, and shareholders’ rights and remedies.
