METHOD OF EVALUATION


Evaluation is primarily based on a written assignment, such as a research paper, worth 75% of the grade. The other 25% of the grade will be based on class participation, including an individual presentation.



COURSE DESCRIPTION


This course will cover a selection of health-law related topics, including medical malpractice claims, consent and informed consent, confidentiality of medical records, wrongful birth and wrongful pregnancy claims, mental health law, health of Indigenous persons in Canada, and end-of-life decision making.
