METHOD OF EVALUATION

Students will be evaluated by an open-book exam worth 100% of the final grade; however, each student will also have the option of reducing the value of their final examination by completing five assignments during the semester. Each assignment will be worth 5% of the final grade. So, for example, if a student completes all five assignments, that student’s final exam will be worth 75%; if a student completes only three assignments, that student’s final exam will be worth 85%.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course examines the civil litigation process, including the framework of civil litigation and civil litigation strategies. This examination is conducted with reference to Alberta’s Rules of Court, with consideration given both to the intention and purpose of the rules and to the practical application of the rules.
