METHOD OF EVALUATION

Students will be evaluated by a 2 hour, open-book examination worth 100% of the final grade; however, each student will also have the option of reducing the value of the final examination by writing up to two quizzes and one in class assignment during the term.  Each quiz will be worth 5% of the final grade. The in class assignment is worth 15%. So, for example, if a student writes two quizzes and does the in class assignment, that student’s final exam will be worth 75%.



COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on the process involved in the conduct of a civil lawsuit as set out in the Alberta Rules of Court. The course will include a consideration of the theory and the practice of the civil litigation system including its extension to administrative law agencies, boards and commissions.
