Alcohol Marker on Watercolor Paper
These two pieces are zoomed in drawings of the profile view of a shoe pure contour drawing. The first sketch is three views of the shoe, each one zoomed in. The finished piece is the second zoom.
The first sketch was made with a 2B pencil on drawing paper. The actual art piece was made with Micron pens and alcohol markers.
I decided to pick the second zoomed sketch for the final piece because it had more lines and spaces than the final sketch, but less detailed than the first sketch. The final result of the project is very different from the original sketch, and it's a lot less detailed. When I started the project, I really liked the original sketch and I was going to use watercolors, pencils, and markers to create the final piece. But when I actually started to work on it, I earased the whole entire sketch and made this. I honestly have no idea why.
