Paper Sculpture #2

Paper and Glue
This is what I made for the second paper sculpture. I picked a dragon.
The materials I used were paper and tape, and the tools I used were scissors and a pencil.
I started this project by making an armature for a sculpture in the round, and cut triangular scales out of white paper with a really dull knife. I didn't like how it looked, and I couldn't get the scales to stick the way I wanted them too. I decided to make a relief sculpture instead, and use different colors of paper. I made all the scales the same size, and cut them out with very small scissors because I didn't have a sharp knife. The legs (claws?) are set higher by a stack of five pieces of paper. When I attached the scales, I started at the end of the tail and worked backwards in order to layer them properly.
