Armature materials and Lindt Chocolate Wrappers

This project isn't completely finished yet, but it is a assemblage sculpture of a peacock made with lindt wrappers. I was inspired by Jillian, I asked her what I should do with all the Lindt wrappers that I've been saving, and she told me to make a peacock because it's colorful. My personal favorite part of this peacock are the tail feathers, because they look clean and well put together.

The materials used for the armature are newsprint paper, tape, and 18 gauge annealed wire for the shape of the feet and the feathers.

I started off by making the body and the head separately, and then I made the feathers. The feathers are long loops of wire completely covered in tape in order to protect the lindt wrappers from ripping in case it gets poked. After completing the armature, I put the lindt wrappers on all the tail feathers individually before sticking them together and attaching them to the body. After that I began to attach the Lindt wrappers to the body, and this is where it's at.
