Textures & Patterns

I chose this image because I really like the unique shape of the leaves and I like the way the leaves are arranged in the frame. My edits really helped to enhance my image by helping pull the leaves at the front of the picture out of the background; before I changed the image to black and white everything blended together making the image look too green.

I chose this image of window blinds because not only are the blinds a pattern, but in the background, the screens also form their own pattern. The edits I made enhance my image because the original image was already made up of whites and grays but making the image black and white helped to crisp up the image and make the patterns stand out.

I chose this image because I liked the pattern in the grains of the wood. The editis I made for it helped to enhance it because they brought out the colors of the the wood which in turn brought out the grain of the wood.

I chose this image because I was able to get a really cool angle on the lobster trap. The edits I made enhanced the image by dulling some of the colors which I think make the image look better.

I chose this image because I really like the worn look on the wood planks. The edits I made helped to enhance the image by bringing out the color and therefore the pattern because in the original image the pattern was not as prevelent.

I chose this image because I randomly found a haybale in town and I thought it was funny. My edits helped to enhance the image by making each of the each blade of hay the same color compared to the original image where the hay was not one color.

I chose this image because I really liked the focus on the background. I think that my edits enhanced the image because the original image was a little dark.

I chose this image because I liked the scattering of the leaves on the stone wall. The edits I made to this image helped to enhance the image because I cropped it because there was a lot of other things in the picture other than textures and the lighting and color weren't any good as well so I changed them to make them look better.

I chose this image because I really like the lighting on the metal. The edit enhanced the image because changing the image to black and white helped to bring out the pattern of the table.

I chose this image because there are many different textures and patterns included in it. My edits helped to enhance the image because the original image was a little dark because it was taken in the evening so I had to brighten it up to bring out the patterns.
