Final Reflection: Photography 1
This was probably my favorite class I have taken at Freeport High School. I really feel like I excelled in this class and really enjoyed myself while doing it. The photo editing was a blast and I enjoyed working in the dark room even more. I am definetly signing up for Photography 2 next year.
The hardest thing for me in this class, and pretty much in all others, was time management. I always seemed to leave all of my photography work to the last minute and rushed to get a lot of it done. I over came this by coming to work on my photographs outside of class time to help me along.
My favorite project this year would probably be the selected color portraits when we we editing using Photoshop. I really enjoyed working on this project and the results are defenitly some of my best this class.
My least favorite project this year was probably the contemporary photography project. This is probably because of how it was a change of pace from the normal work we were doing and involved more reasearch than actual hands-on photography work.
I definetly know more about photography and composition and techniques than I did when entering the class at the beginnig of the school year. The compositional techniques really helped to elevate my photographs to the next level. I also look at photography and other photographer work in a new light. I can observe and respect other photographers and their use of techniques and I can point out where they used them in their photos and see how they help to make the photos more interesting.
