Scratchboard tools

For this scratchboard drawing, I did a realistic portrait of my 94-year-old grandfather and I picked this good capture of him with his whole face and shoulders. I thought this was a good picture of him happy and he also requested me to do a piece for him after he saw my self-portrait I made earlier in the year.

I used the griding method to get the perfect dimensions. I mainly used the sharp tool with the red handle but I also used the brush-like material to fill in bugger spaces.

I started with my grandfather's face and went all the way across and to the bottom of the page for the entire piece. Also to learn how to use scratchboard tools and what they do I made a value strip for the warm-up to the actual drawing.
