Tidal Shift project

For this project I made an entry for the Tidal Shift Award where I have to make a peice of art that has to do with climate change. I decided to make what the Titanic would be in 2022. This shows the famous Titanic that crashed into an ice berg in 1912 more than 100 years ago when climate change wasn't a problem. So i made the Titanic in 2022 where the ice bergs are melting from climate change thats why the boat is just going right over the iceberg.

I just used Procreate to make this peice with an apple pencil.

I started with a sketch as usual. I actually made a triangle where the tip of the boat would point and from there I smoothed the boat out and colored it in. As I was doing that I made the water and colored that in and shaded it to make it cartoonish. I referenced the actual Titanic for the colors of the boat. Lastly I made the iceberg and colored over the bottom of the ice with a low opacity of the same blue the water was so you could see the bottom of the ice through the water.
