DONATE LIFE

For this project I had to make an entry for the donate life competition that is to persuade young people to check off the box to donate your healthy organs/tissue if you were to pass away in an accident of some sorts. My slogan was "Let someone bloom" and I was focusing on the flowers.

I did this project on my iPad Pro using the application called procreate.

I started with someone sitting down because I wanted the person to be sitting in a field with flowers surrounding them but this was really hard to make it look like it had depth. So instead I just did someone standing in a field. I decided to make the character black and white to kind of signify that they aren't getting the chance to be colorful so they are letting others be colorful and bloom as if they are the person donating. I made the character first and then took a screenshot and made it greyscale and put it in the middle. I then colored the flowers on the character so they would be vibrant colors. I did different layers for the four ground and background so when I made a mistake I could erase without erasing the background too. I added another layer for the flowers surrounding the character so they would cover him and make them more of the focus. The last layer I added was the sky with clouds that I shaded with grey and blended it into the cloud with the smudge tool.
