Photoshop Portrait

In this project I took a picture of myself and then put it into adobe photoshop. I used the digital pen and used the dropper to pick a certain color and then filled in a big area and when I saw a line of darker color thats where I drew the boundry between the colors so the drawing ended in me looking kind of "cartoonish". I did the same thing with my dog sophie. Sophie was significantly harder because of all the detail on her face though.

In the procces of the digital drawing for Sophie I started on her hat and worked down from there. For my face I started on my shirt and worked up from there. The hardest part for Sophie was on top of her nose which is because of all the fine hairs. At first I was just going to do a solid color but that didn't enphasize her hair as much. For my face the hardest part was my mask because of all the details and creases.
