In the interest of road safety, riders will be started in groups of no more than 10, with 3 minutes gaps. Groups will be as per pace they wish to ride at with 20mph group heading out first.
For those new to cycling and unsure what a Reliability Trial is, it is a traditional early season challenge, a hard training ride. They are not races or sportives, so no route markers (gpx files or strava segments of the routes are available. (Printed maps will be provided if required), there will be no feed stops and no results. You set off in a bunch and make your way round as best you can. You need to make sure you are able to cope with all mechanicals, suitable dressed and equipped.
If you are planning to ride a sportive, a cycling challenge, charity ride or race in 2022 or just want to get fitter and improve your cycling then Reliability Trials are a great way to kick start the new year training.
Perth United Cycling Club have training runs every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday when the season gets going on the 30 March. This includes training road and gravel rides, come along and try rides, time trials and APR rides as well as hill races and a number of 100 mile rides and Zwift racing.
