Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome

posted 12 Apr 2012, 05:00 by Perth Gallery
In October the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome will be opening it’s doors to cyclists prior to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014. Scottish Cycling want to make sure that all clubs and their members are able to use the facility to it’s full potential, and they have asked for some feedback on how it might be used. They have sent some questionnaires for each club to complete, and I'd like to get our members opinions to respond with.

If you have any interest in track cycling, either as an existing track rider or someone who would like to take it up, please can you send me a note of how you might use the new velodrome in Glasgow. They are looking to understand how often we'd use it, how many people would be coming, how many people are accredited as track riders, how many people have track bikes. If there is enough interest from either the senior members, or from the Titans, then a regular track session in Glasgow might be something that we can organise.

Please send any comments on this to the secretary.
