Youth Team at Drumclog Hilly TT

A strong team of Perth United Youth riders took part in the Drumclog Hilly TT, Strathaven on the 10th of March. There was a big entry in the Youth age groups for this event and the Perth boys led the way with a 1-2-3 in the placings. Lewis Champion posted the fastest time in the Youth A category followed Fraser Martin and Mark McGuire. Hector Lancaster was only a few seconds behind in 6th place with new member Matthew Peters taking 8th. This was a really good set of results, (beating a number of experienced senior riders on the day) and is very promising for the team time trial in the Youth Tour of Scotland over the Easter weekend. Coach Andy Ralston's days as a youth may be a fading memory, but he put in a very strong performance of his own to take 3rd place overall.
