Cyclocross Training - Change of Venue
Post date: 16-Feb-2015 16:46:45
From this Wednesday (18th of Feb) the cyclocross training sessions will move to the streets near Perth Academy until the start of the summer season. We don’t want to risk damaging the grass at the Inch as it gets very muddy this time of year and the grass will struggle to recover.
Meet on Glasgow Road at the Lovat Hotel at 6.30pm. Make sure you have lights for front and rear. I expect most people to use their cyclocross bikes but road bike are welcome too (and faster!).
Training will follow a similar pattern to the cyclocross sessions, with varying numbers of loops of a small circuit (Fairies Road, Muirend Road, Hillend Road and Viewlands Road).
A reminder of the club policy on younger riders on public roads:
“In Youth (under 16) and Junior (16 – 18) age groups, all riders must be aged 13 or above to ride on the road with Perth United. We would prefer for them to be escorted during all rides either by a parent or by a pre-agreed volunteer from the club. When the club is confident the rider has the ability and maturity they will be allowed to join the larger and faster groups.”
