The last Wednesday night of the 2012 season was the short, sharp climb up Bowerswell Road in Perth. The event was a big success for the McGuire family with Mark taking winning the championship trophy, just a few seconds outside the course record. Father Barry was 5th and young Rory put many of the senior riders to shame in 5 minutes dead. As the course goes past their house we suspect there has been a bit of practising going on this week!
Hector Lancaster took 2nd place ahead of youth coach Andy Ralston. Andy's 3rd place was not enough to bridge the gap to Steve Cairns (6th) in the overall hill climbers competition, and Steve has now completed a clean sweep of all the club confined competitions this season (except the Ladies Championship :-) ).
