Bowerswell Hill Climb Championship

Post date: 10-Sep-2014 21:02:39

There was a big turnout for the last Wednesday evening event of the year, the Bowerswell hill climb championship, which was held in glorious autumn sunshine. Over the short sharp climb there was a dead heat of not 2, but 3 riders who all finished on exactly 4:02. Peter Will, Barry McGuire and Gordon Chisholm all declined to do it all again as a tie breaker, so the engravers will have some extra work to do on the trophy. Well done to all of them.

Thanks to Bruce Ferguson, Jon Soal and Tanya Hay who helped out with the starting and timekeeping.

The full standings will be available later this week (once a few bits of information are checked), but with one event to go (Pitcairngreen TT this Sunday at 10:45am) there are only 2 competitions undecided. The Handicap is led by Bruce Ferguson, but he can still be caught by 2 or 3 others. In the Youth BAR 3 riders (Charlie Swan, Campbell Hay and Struan Davidson) have one win each so it's winner takes all for whoever turns up on Sunday.
