I gave a few to my friends and family only to get a gag reflex followed with some tear jerking as the flavour proved too strong and unusual for their palettes. It doesn’t help that liquorice among the most unpopular of confectionery for reasons that I cannot really understand. The reason why this picture still features prominently on my phone is because it reminds me of my personal aspirations in terms of travelling and exploring so the odd food choices becomes an obvious symbol of this.
