That’s all I could get away with when my dad was around. When he wasn’t, we had fishnet tights with satin hotpants and over the knee boots. They were teamed with fishnet vest, long satin gloves and for some reason a fisherman’s cap! I’d really like to go through my whole edgy-goth-emo phase but I must conffess a worse sin: I used to wear denim on denim all the time. So when I was around 12–13, I finally convinced my mum to let me wear jeans. She thought jeans were not fit for kids so she only let me wear corduroy trousers before. I loved my new jeans, I felt hip and they were just so comfortable.
