Spelling bee pumpkin scary witch halloween shirt

We had both just come from work and were dressed in nice clothes nothing fancy but presentable. As we entered the ballroom, it was abundantly clear that we were less than prepared for the evening. It seems that black tie and gowns were the order of the evening and we were not even close to blending in to the crowd. We looked at each other with that “ I think not” look we had developed and turned tail and briskly made our way to the nearest exit. A shame though, during our brief appearance, I recognized some of the city’s highest level “movers and shakers” and the connections lost still haunt me.
