pain, suffering and injustices...Please, don't let the light go out...

We need justice. We need toleration, honesty and moral courage.
These are modern virtues without which we cannot hope to
control the forces science has let loose among us.

TMJ CONCEPTS
After living a life of pain and misery. Wanting to give up hope, searching the net day and night trying to find the right implant for me. But all I see is the FDA pulling them off the market left and right. And one broken implant that almost took my life. Not wanting to take that chance again. With one failed surgery after another. Getting on all the TMJ groups on the net. Hearing all the pain and suffering they went though, there just didn’t seem to be any hope left. I just wanted to end my life. I did not want to live joint less and in pain every day as I seen with some of my internet friends. I did not want a feeding tube; I had many years to live for and so much to give. The pain was unbearable and the tears were endless as I cry each night. When I was in pain no one wanted to be around or try to talk to me so I would kick them all out of my home!
Then one day my Doctor told me about an implant call Tmj Concepts, they fit the implant to my 3-D jaw mold, it would be custom made just for me! Doing the research all over again and calling Dave on the phone and he answered all of my questions. Talking to others who had the concepts put my fears to rest. Tmj Concepts is the concept for me. I had the surgery done and it was not an easy recovery but day after day it all got better, then I knew I made the right choice. I had a life that was mine to do what I wanted to do. The pain and misery left the day I had the surgery done. I was a new person with a life full of hope. Dave and his staff made the concept that was just right for me! Eight years has past and the concept still works like the energizing bunny, it has not failed me yet! A new life with a hope and future they have given me! No more weekly trips to the ER for a fix of pain medications and being labeled as a drug addict. No more weekly trips to the doctor’s office that tell me there is nothing they can do for me! One yearly check-up is all I need to make sure the concepts is in place. I got out for the first time and took a chance that was right for me! I now have a life full of friends and family. Doing what I like to do, is give of myself to those in need. Giving back to my community for the help I got when I was down and out! No more am I kicking my friends and family out of my home! The only problem I have found with the Tmj Concepts is: I now can eat and I have gained weight! Oh what a joy it is to eat with out pain!

This TMJD Support Group is intended to be a Safe Haven and provide a place where people with TMJ pain can come and offer and receive support from people who know what they are going through. This is not a medical group and we do not have medical degrees or medical backgrounds. However, with the variety of members in here, there is bound to be someone who has been there and done that and can answer your questions.
This group is in memory of Debbie Ward whom suffered from TMJD & died of unknown causes.
There are many types of members with TMJD. Some have been treated medically, some treated with various splint therapies and physical therapies as well as some with surgical treatments ranging from Arthroscopy to full jaw joint replacements. Everyone with any degree of TMJD or has a family member that deals with it is
welcome to join and offer and receive support that we all so badly need to get through each day with the pain we have to live with.
It is YOUR place to cry, scream or vent on the pain you are dealing with and how it is affecting your life and the lives of your loved ones. The group is MODERATED to avoid the unsolicited advertisements and spam. We are all in pain and do not need to have to deal with that too.
