Thirty taxa of Crustacea Mysida from marine and continental waters of Apulia are listed using published and unpublished data, mostly based on investigations by the present authors. The brackish-water taxa are outstanding due to their abundance and variety, clearly reflecting the local environmental characteristics. The history of the primarily faunal studies is reported, supplemented with information on their implications and ongoing developments in diverse biological domains.
