ACT FOUR: Inside Pantalone’s House
SCENE ONE: Pantalone, Columbina
Pantalone returns home and complains to Columbina about what has happened. Columbina blames it all on Arlecchino. Pantalone leaves.
SCENE TWO: Columbina, The Captain
Captain Spavento comes looking for Pantalone. He and Columbina talk. Columbina falls in love.
SCENE THREE: Columbina, The Captain, Pantalone
Pantalone returns, and he and the Captain go off to make arrangements for the wedding.
SCENE FOUR: Columbina, Aurelia
Aurelia comes to Columbina, crying about having to marry the Captain. Columbina comforts her. Aurelia gives her a new note to deliver to Orazio.
SCENE FIVE: Columbina, Aurelia, Arlecchino
Arlecchino then arrives with a note for Aurelia from Orazio. Aurelia cheers up, reading it. Columbina then claims to have a new plan, and tells everyone to announce that she and Arlecchino will be married tomorrow. Arlecchino is confused.
