Samson is tied up and given to the Philistine Army.

In Judges 15:14 the “Spirit of Allaah” came on Samson and gave him strength.

In Judges 15:15 Samson “finds the new jaw bone of a donkey” meaning this is not an old crumbling bone but something new decreed by Allaah.

In Judges 15:16 Samson strikes 1000 Philistine soldiers.

In Judges 15:18 Samson thanks Allaah.

The meaning of this story is that when the “Spirit of Allaah” is on you there is nothing that you cannot do through the strength of Allaah.

The lesson is when humans call Allaah for help Allaah does not forsake them if Allaah wills. See Quran 8:65-8:66 below.

Quran 8:65 Koran 8:65 (Allaah wants Prophet Muhammad to learn mercy and forgiveness by experiencing the fear and doubt of his men when it is revealed by Allaah) O Prophet (Muhammad), encourage the believers to fight (with you the stone idol worshippers from Makkah). If there are twenty steadfast (men with you) they shall overcome two hundred (men), and if there are one hundred (steadfast men with you) they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they (the disbelievers) are a people that do not understand (that all power lies with Allaah the creator. The prophet understands this but Allaah will show that the men of Prophet Muhammad do not fully understand this because many are new to the religion of Allaah).

Quran 8:66 Koran 8:66 (In Quran 8:65 Allaah willed for Prophet Muhammad to experience the fear and doubt of his men and Allaah will now teach Prophet Muhammad that fear and doubt in men is removed not by a harsh response but by mercy and forgiveness when it is revealed by Allaah who is the most merciful and the most kind that) now Allaah has lightened your burden (to convince people that one man can defeat 10 men as revealed in Quran 8:65) because He (Allaah) knows that there is a weakness (of fear and doubt) in you (to fight ten times your number). So (with mercy and kindness and forgiveness tell them) if you are one hundred steadfast (men) they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a thousand (steadfast men with you) they shall overcome two thousand by the permission of Allaah. Allaah is with the steadfast.

A. Allaah made the Hebrews return to Allaah through the hands of the Philistines in Judges 13:1.

Judges 13:1 And the children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord (Allaah); and the Lord (Allaah) delivered them (the children of Israel) into the hand of the Philistines for forty years.

B. Allaah begins to save the Hebrews from the Philistines in Judges 13:2 - 13:6.

Judges 13:2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and did not bear (children).

Judges 13:3 And the angel of the Lord (Allaah) appeared to the woman, and said to her: 'Behold now, you are barren, and have not borne (children); but you shall conceive, and bear a son.

Judges 13:4 Now therefore beware, I tell you, and drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing.

Judges 13:5 For you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head; for the child shall be a Nazirite to Allaah from the womb; and he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.'

Judges 13:6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying: 'A man of Allaah came to me, and his appearance was like the appearance of the angel of Allaah, very awesome; and I did not ask him from where he came nor did he tell me his name.

C. Allaah gave physical power for Samson to distress the Philistines in the same way Allaah distressed the Midianites in Numbers 25:16 - 25:18.

The actions of Samson are the same actions Allaah commanded in Numbers 25:16 - 25:18 so that the Israelites might be freed from the hand of the Philistines in Judges 13:5 as they were freed from the hand of the Midianites in Numbers 25:16 - 25:18.

Numbers 25:16 And the Lord (Allaah) spoke to Moses, saying:

Numbers 25:17 'Distress (with hostility) the Midianites, and kill them;

Numbers 25:18 for they distressed you, by the plots that they made against you in the matter of (the idol worship of the god of) Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi their sister (which they gave for prostitution to entice you to stray away from Allaah, she was), the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister (Cozbi), who was killed on the day of the plague (that had come) because of Peor. (When she was killed the plague that was killing the Hebrew people ceased).'

Judges 14:4 But his (Samson’s) father and his (Samson’s) mother did not know that it was from the LORD; who sought a pretense against the Philistines because at that time the Philistines ruled over Israel.

D. Allaah punished the Philistines through Samson in Judges 16:21 - 16:30.

Quran 52:47 Koran 52:47 For those who do wrong, there is a punishment before that (Day of Resurrection and Judgement which is the punishment in this life). But most of them (the wrong doers) do not know (they may be punished in this life and in the hereafter).

Judges 16:21 And the Philistines laid hold on him (Samson), and put out his eyes; and they brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with chains of brass; and he did grind (wheat) in the prison-house.

Note 1. The eyes of Samson are removed by the the Philistines and Samson is taken prisoner.

Judges 16:23 And the lords of the Philistines gathered them together to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their (idol) god, and to rejoice; for they said: 'Our god has delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.'

Note 1. The leaders of the Philistines thank their idol god for their capture of Samson.

Judges 16:24 And when the people saw him, they praised their god; for they said: 'Our god has delivered into our hand our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, who has killed many of us.'

Note 1. The Philistines people thank their idol god for their capture of Samson.

Judges 16:25 And it came to pass, when their hearts were happy, that they said: 'Call for Samson, so that he may make entertainment for us.' And they called for Samson out of the prison-house; and he made sport before them; and they set him between the pillars (that supported the building).

Note 1. The leaders and people of the Philistines thanked their god for their capture of Samson and make fun of Samson.

Judges 16:28 And Samson called to the Lord, and said: 'O Lord Allaah, remember me, I pray to You, and strengthen me, I pray to You, only this once, O Allaah, so that I may be this once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes (which they removed).'

Judges 16:30 And Samson said: 'Let me die with the Philistines.' And he bent with all his might (on the pillars supporting the building); and the house fell on the (Philistine) lords, and on all the (Philistine) people that were in there. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than they that he killed in his life.

Note 1. The punishment on the Philistines was not because they removed the eyes of Samson but is shown to be because of the evil behaviour of idol worship in Judges 16:23 by the Philistine leaders and Judges 16:24 by the Philistine people meaning there was not one innocent person who was killed since all the strength given to Samson came from Allaah meaning what happened was the punishment of Allaah through the hands of Samson.

Note 2. The wisdom Allaah gave to Solomon is like the strength Allaah gave to Samson meaning when they obeyed Allaah they used their wisdom and strength as decreed by Allaah.

When humans use their gifts wrongly it means they have disobeyed Allaah.

Note 3. The punishment of Allaah on the Philistine leaders and solders and people were delivered by Allaah through the hands of Samson.

Note 4. When Allaah makes punishments there are no mistakes.

Only humans make mistakes and errors and misunderstandings because human understanding is limited but the understanding of Allaah is unlimited.

Quran 48:25 Koran 48:25 They (the stone idol worshippers of Mecca Arabia today Makkah Saudi Arabia) are the ones who disbelieved (in Allaah) and turned you (Prophet Muhammad) away from the Sacred Mosque (“the Sacred Mosque” is l-masjidi l-harami, Al-Masjid Al-Haraam in Makkah) and your offerings (of 70 camels to Allaah for the feeding of the poor which) were prevented from reaching their place of sacrifice. (You would have been allowed to enter Makkah and fight for the sake of Allaah to worship Allaah at Allaah’s Sacred Mosque in Makkah) if it were not that there were believing men and believing women who you did not know that you may have trampled (with your offerings of 70 camels that would have killed both the believers who you did not know and the non believers because of a stampede by those animals caused by fighting that Allaah knew would occur) and so unknowingly you would have an evil deed against you, (However Allaah stopped you from entering Makkah) so that Allaah might bring to His (Allaah’s) mercy whom He (Allaah) willed (by preventing you from making sin through your actions which would have killed innocent people). If they (the believers who you did not know and the wrongdoers who had sinned against Allaah) had been apart (so that only the wrongdoers who had sinned against Allaah were present) then We (Allaah) would have punished those of them who disbelieved with a painful punishment (by allowing you into Makkah and allowing the animal stampede to occur to punish the stone idol worshippers who forbid your worship of Allaah at the Sacred Mosque Al-Masjid Al-Haraam in Makkah).

Note 1. Do not harm innocent people.

Note 2. Do not harm innocent people together with wicked people.

Genesis 18:23 And Abraham Ibrahim came near and said "Will you (Allaah) really sweep away the righteous (people) with the wicked (people)?

Genesis 18:24 If there are fifty innocent people in the city, will you destroy the whole city? Won't you spare it in order to save the fifty?

Genesis 18:25 Surely you won't kill the innocent with the guilty. That's impossible! You can't do that. If you did, the innocent would be punished along with the guilty. That is impossible. The judge of all the earth has to act justly.”

Genesis 18:26 The Lord answered, “If I find fifty innocent people in Sodom, I will spare the whole city for their sake.”

Genesis 18:27 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim spoke again: “Please forgive my boldness in continuing to speak to you, Lord. I am only a man and have no right to say anything.

Genesis 18:28 But perhaps there will be only forty-five innocent people instead of fifty. Will you destroy the whole city because there are five too few?”

The Lord answered, “I will not destroy the city if I find forty-five innocent people.”

Genesis 18:29 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim spoke again: “Perhaps there will be only forty.”

He replied, “I will not destroy it if there are forty.”

Genesis 18:30 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim said, “Please don't be angry, Lord, but I must speak again. What if there are only thirty?”

He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty.”

Genesis 18:31 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim said, “Please forgive my boldness in continuing to speak to you, Lord. Suppose that only twenty are found?”

He said, “I will not destroy the city if I find twenty.”

Genesis 18:32 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim said, “Please don't be angry, Lord, and I will speak only once more. What if only ten are found?”

He said, “I will not destroy it (the city) if there are ten (innocent people).”

Genesis 18:33 After he had finished speaking with Prophet Abraham Ibrahim, the Lord went away, and Prophet Abraham Ibrahim returned home.

The Tanakh Jewish Scripture and the Quran confirm and explain each other in the story of King David Dawud.

The story of the sin of ewe the female sheep meaning adultery and the sin of murder is the teaching that Allaah will forgive a person who is truly repentant like Allaah forgave David.

The story of King David Dawud is that a person cannot be successful until they follow the guidance of Allaah and remember Allaah.

2 Samuel 12:1 And the LORD sent (Prophet) Nathan to (King) David. And he came to him, and said to him: “There were two men in one city: the one rich, and the other poor.

2 Samuel 12:2 The rich man had many many flocks and herds;

2 Samuel 12:3 but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb (female sheep), which he had bought and reared; and it grew up together with him and with his children; it ate of his own bread and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was to him like a daughter.

2 Samuel 12:4 And there came a traveller to the rich man, and he did not take of his own flock and of his own herd to prepare (food) for the travelling man that had come to him, but took the poor man's lamb and prepared it (as food) for the man that had come to him.'

Quran 38:21 - 38:23 is about the sin of ewe meaning adultery and the sin of murder that was committed by King David Dawud.

Quran 38:21 - 38:23 shows that what is described in the Tanakh Jewish Scripture always remained in the mind of King David Dawud in Psalm 51:5 (Psalm 51:3 in Christian Bible) and in Quran 38:21 - 38:23 as a reminder that guided him to righteousness.

Quran 38:21 Koran 38:21 And has the story of the (two) disputers reached you and how they climbed the wall into the chamber (of King David’s Dawud’s private mind into his conscience)?

Quran 38:22 Koran 38:22 How they (suddenly) entered (the chamber of his private mind into his conscience) and King David Dawud was afraid of them and they said, “Do not be afraid, (we have come for your help, we) two are arguing with each other because one has wronged the other so judge between us and show us the correct path.”

Quran 38:23 Koran 38:23 This is my brother (in religion who) has ninety nine ewes (female sheep which really represented the many wives that Allaah had given to King David Dawud) but I have one ewe (female sheep meaning one wife which really represented Bath-sheba the wife of Uriah the Hittite) and he said, "Give it (the one ewe) to me (so that I can add your one female sheep to my 99 female sheep) and (the power of) his speech forced me to give it (my only female sheep)."

2 Samuel 12:5 And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan: 'As (surely as) the LORD lives, the man that has done this deserves to die;

2 Samuel 12:6 and he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.'

Quran 38:24 is about the sin of ewe meaning adultery and the sin of murder that was committed by King David Dawud.

Quran 38:24 shows that what is described in the Tanakh Jewish Scripture always remained in the mind of King David Dawud in Psalm 51:5 (Psalm 51:3 in Christian Bible) and in Quran 38:24 as a reminder that guided him to righteousness.

Quran 38:24 Koran 38:24 (King David Dawud) said, “He has done wrong by demanding your (one) ewe (female sheep) and adding it to his (ninety nine) ewes (female sheep). Many brothers (in religion) oppress one another except those who believe (in Allaah) and do good deeds, and they are few. And then Prophet David Dawud understood that We (Allaah) were telling (a story) about him (King David Dawud and what King David Dawud did to Uriah the Hittite and his wife Bath-sheba) and he (King David Dawud) asked forgiveness of his Lord (Allaah) and he bowed (prostrating) and repented (to Allaah for his sins).

2 Samuel 12:7 And Nathan said to David: You are the man. So said the LORD, the Allaah of Israel: I anointed you (David) king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.

2 Samuel 12:8 and I gave you (King David Dawud) your master's (King Saul’s) house, and your master's (King Saul’s) wives in your midst, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that were too little, then I would add to you like them and like them.

Note 1. King David Dawud had 6 wives so adding "like them (6) and like them (6)" would be 18 wives meaning 18 wives for a king is acceptable in the sight of Allaah.

2 Samuel 12:9 For what have you despised the word of the LORD, to do that which is evil in My (Allaah’s) sight? Uriah the Hittite you have killed with the sword, and his wife you have taken to be your wife, and him (Uriah the Hittite) you have killed with the sword of the children of Ammon.

2 Samuel 12:10 Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house; because you have despised Me (Allaah), and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.

2 Samuel 12:11 So said the LORD: Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house, and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbour, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun (for all the people to see).

2 Samuel 12:12 For you did it (sinned) secretly (from the eyes of the people); but I (Allaah) will do this thing in front of all (the people of) Israel, and before the sun (for all the people to see).'

Note 1. Allaah gave judgements before Allaah forgives the sins of David.

2 Samuel 12:13 And King David said to Prophet Nathan: 'I have sinned against the LORD.' And Nathan said to David: 'The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

Note 1. Allaah forgives the sins of David.

2 Samuel 12:14 However, because by this deed you (David) have greatly blasphemed (opened the mouth of) the enemies of the LORD (because this scandal has become known to all the people), the child also that is born to you (David through Bathsheba) shall surely die' (so that everyone who does not know you are forgiven does not think there is no consequence for wicked behaviour).

Note 1. Allaah gave judgements in 2 Samuel 12:10 - 12:12 and then forgives the sins of David in 2 Samuel 12:13 and then explains in 2 Samuel 12:14 why Allaah decreed judgements before forgiving the sins of David.

Note 2. When Allaah forgave Prophet David Dawud why did Allaah say his child would die?

Answer: When Allaah forgives the sin of any person the consequences of that sin on the earth remain as a warning for humans not to repeat that sin.

If sin was forgiven and there were no consequences on the earth then humans would not learn to avoid wrong doing.

2 Samuel 12:15 And Nathan departed to his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bore to David, and it was very sick.

2 Samuel 12:16 David therefore asked (help from) Allaah on behalf of the child; and David fasted, and went in (the house) and slept on the ground.

2 Samuel 12:17 And the elders of his house arose, and stood beside him, to raise him up from the earth; but he (David) would not (stand), neither did he eat bread with them.

2 Samuel 12:18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him (David) that the child was dead; for they said: 'Behold, while the child was yet alive we spoke to him and he did not listen to our voice; how then shall we tell him that the child is dead, so that he (does not) do himself some harm?'

2 Samuel 12:19 But when David saw that his servants whispered together, David perceived that the child was dead; and David said to his servants: 'Is the child dead?' And they said: 'He is dead.'

2 Samuel 12:20 Then David arose from the ground, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his clothing; and he came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped; then he came to his own house; and when he required (food), they set bread before him, and he did eat.

2 Samuel 12:21 Then his servants said to him (David): 'What thing is this that you have done? You did fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, you did rise and eat bread.'

2 Samuel 12:22 And he (David) said: 'While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept; for I said: Who knows whether the LORD (Allaah) will not be gracious to me, so that the child may live?

2 Samuel 12:23 But now he is dead so for what should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him (in heaven) but he (the child) will not return to me (on the earth).'

2 Samuel 12:24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went to her, and lay with her; and she bore a son, and called his name Solomon. And the LORD (Allaah) loved him;

Note 1. Quran 38:34 describes the prophecy given by Allaah to King Solomon in 1 Kings 11:11 - 11:13 which is fulfilled in 1 Kings 11:31 - 11:32 and 1 Kings 11:35 - 11:36.

1 Kings 11:37 And I will take you, and you (King Solomon Sulaiman) shall reign over all that your soul desires, and shall be king over Israel.

1 Kings 11:38 And it shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in My ways, and do that which is right in My eyes, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as David My servant did, that I will be with you, and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

Note 6. When Allaah forgave Prophet Solomon Sulaiman why did Allaah tear away half of his kingdom after his death and only give the kingdom of Judah to his descendant?

Answer: When Allaah forgives the sin of any person the consequences of that sin on the earth remain as a warning for humans not to repeat that sin.

If sin was forgiven and there were no consequences on the earth then humans would not learn to avoid wrong doing.

Note 8. The Quran focuses on the righteousness of the prophets to teach righteous behaviour and uses the stone idol worshippers in Makkah as the example of bad behaviour.

Note 9. The Tanakh Jewish Scripture focuses on the success and the errors of the prophets to show that Allaah forgives all sins and to warn against idol worshipping the prophets of Allaah.

5. Explain 1 Kings 19:14 and 1 Kings 19:18

Explain Prophet Elijah said he was the last righteous person in Israel in 1 Kings 19:14 and there are 7000 righteous in Israel in 1 Kings 19:18.

In 1 King 22:8 King Jehoshaphat of Judah and In 1 King 22:26 - 22:27 King Ahab of Israel both do not like Prophet Micaiah the son of Imlah because he gives bad news to them.

In 1 King 22:10 - 22:13 when Prophet Micaiah is taken to both kings he is told to agree with the 400 (false) prophets who say the king will be successful in battle.

In 1 Kings 22:14 Prophet Micaiah answers "he will say what Allaah has told him."

In 1 Kings 22:15 when the king asks Prophet Micaiah if he will be successful in battle the prophet says yes meaning this is what Allaah has told Prophet Micaiah to say.

In 1 Kings 22:16 the king does not believe this answer because Prophet Micaiah always brings bad news to him and asks Prophet Micaiah for the truth.

In 1 Kings 22:17 Prophet Micaiah tells the king that he will not be successful.

In 1 Kings 22:18 King Jehoshaphat says to King Ahab “I said Prophet Micaiah would not prophecy good but evil concerning me” meaning when Prophet Micaiah lied the king knew it was a lie and when Prophet Micaiah told the truth the king knew the prophet was truthful but the king never accepted revelations from the truthful prophet because the king only accepted what he wanted to hear meaning the king heard the truthful message from Allaah but the king near accepted the truthful message from Allaah meaning the king only accepted false messages from false prophets because he was an evil and arrogant king.

In 1 Kings 22:19 - 22:23 Prophet Micaiah tells the kings what Allaah decreed by putting a lying spirit in the mouth of his 400 (false) prophets who would encourage King Ahab to go to battle and fail meaning Allaah will punish in his lifetime the evil done by King Ahab in this world as a lesson for those who lived in his time and after his time.

1 Kings 22:20 And the LORD said: Who shall entice Ahab so that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead. And one (spirit, angel) said this way and another (spirit, angel) said in that way.

Prophet Micaiah the son of Imlah warned the evil King Ahab in 1 Kings 22:20 - 22:22 about his 400 (false) prophets like Allaah warned people to avoid evil through the angels of Allaah in Quran 2:102.

Quran 2:102 Koran 2:102 And they (some of the Jews of Yathrib in Arabia today in Medina Saudi Arabia) believe what the evil ones said about the special powers of Prophet Solomon Suleiman during the time of his kingdom (they said Solomon's power was magic from evil ones as is written in Jewish rabbinic literature). (The truth is) Prophet Solomon Suleiman had faith (and all his powers were from Allaah). It was the evil ones who were disbelievers who taught magic that had been revealed to Angel Harut and Angel Marut in Babylon. These Angels (when they taught the first humans this knowledge) first said “We are a test for your faith, do not disbelieve in Allaah (by learning magic from us) and to those who disbelieved they taught the magic that caused dispute between husband and wife and caused harm only with Allaah’s permission. They (the disbelievers) learned what harmed them (by learning what was evil) and not what profited them (by having faith in Allaah and doing what was good) and they knew (because they were warned) that buyers of it (magic) would have no happiness in the Hereafter. If they only knew how terrible the price was (for learning the magic of doing evil) for which they sold their souls (for a place in fire in the hereafter).

(and the Temple in Jerusalem is with us and Allaah has told us in our dreams that Allaah is with us so let us fight the King of Babylon instead of paying taxes to him). Certainly it (the wisdom within the false prophets) is in vain, he (the false prophets) made a false scribe’s pen (putting writing on the walls of Jerusalem claiming Allaah will be with us if we fight the King of Babylon but these are dreams from themselves and not a message from Allaah).

Note 1. The result of following false prophets instead of following Jeremiah a true prophet was the destruction by the King of Babylon of the Temple of Solomon Sulaiman which was the First Temple in Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 8:9 The “wise” men (meaning the false prophets who claimed they were wise following messages they received in dreams from Allaah) were ashamed (of rejecting the words of Allaah delivered to them by Jeremiah), they were dismayed (when their prophecies failed) and taken (by the King of Babylon who destroyed the First Temple in Jerusalem); Certainly they have rejected the word of the Lord (Allaah which Jeremiah delivered to them saying those dreams telling you to tell the people to fight the King of Babylon instead of pay his taxes come from within yourselves and not from Allaah); and what wisdom is in them (now that their prophecies have failed)?

Qholah represents Samaria in the Northern kingdom of Israel and Oholibah represents Jerusalem in the southern kingdom of Judah.

Both Qholah (Samaria) and Oholibah (Jerusalem) represent the wives of Allaah meaning they represent people who are married to Allaah because they promised to believe in no other Allaah however they are accused of "playing the harlot" in Egypt meaning they are accused of adultery against Allaah by their idol worship which they did against their husband who is Allaah which Allaah describes as prostitution.

The purpose of the shocking words which Allaah uses is to let the reader understand how great is the betrayal of people who are married to Allaah when they commit adultery against Allaah by worshiping other gods.

Ezekiel 23:1 And the word of the LORD came to me (Prophet Ezekiel Zulkifl), saying:

Ezekiel 23:2 'Son of man (Prophet Ezekiel Zulkifl), there were two women (who are represented when one nation is divided into two nations called the Northern kingdom of Israel and the Southern kingdom of Judah after the death of King Solomon), the daughters of one mother (who represents the one nation called the Kingdom of Israel in the time of King David and King Solomon);

Ezekiel 23:3 and they committed harlotries in Egypt; they committed harlotries in their youth; there were their bosoms pressed, and there their virgin breasts were bruised (meaning they committed adultery against Allaah by turning to idol worship).

Ezekiel 23:4 And the names of them were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister; and they became Mine (meaning they promised to believe in no other Allaah but Allaah), and they bore sons and daughters (children). And as for their names, Samaria is Oholah (who represents the Northern kingdom of Israel), and Jerusalem Oholibah (who represents the Southern kingdom of Judah).

When Israel turns to idol worship it means Israel is committing adultery against Allaah.

The disguising language in Ezekiel explains how low Israel had descended so that the exiled children of Israel could understand why Allaah destroyed the first Temple in Jerusalem and exiled them to Babylon.

Without this disguising language you would not know how low the children of Israel had fallen.

Note that whenever Israel sins there are always a righteous remnant in every generation meaning Allaah never means all the children of Israel sinned.

Isaiah 54:5 For your Maker (Allaah) is your husband (meaning Israel be faithful to Allaah like a wife is faithful to her husband) …”

Ezekiel 16:32 You (Israel are) the adulterous wife that takes strangers (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known in Deuteronomy 13:7 - 13:9 or Deuteronomy 13:6 - 13:8 in Christian bible) instead of your husband (Allaah).

Note 1. Whenever Israel worships a Allaah that was unknown to them or to their fathers it means Israel committed adultery.

The meaning is that the nature of Allaah will never change so beware of any claim that the nature of Allaah is different to how it was first revealed in the Torah.

For Israel to worship a Allaah whose nature is different to Allaah in the Torah is called adultery meaning the nature of Allaah in the Torah will never change.

To worship any created thing as Allaah or part of Allaah or as a partner with Allaah is called idol worship.

Isaiah 50:1 The Lord (Allaah) said (to some Jewish people who did not repent because they claimed Allaah had divorced them and sold them meaning they claimed Allaah abandoned them or Allaah exiled them so Allaah asks these questions as proof Allaah has not abandoned them). "Where is the bill of divorce of your mother through which I (Allaah) put her away?" (Allaah did not give a bill of divorce to the children of Israel in the southern kingdom of Judah but saved the Jewish people in Hosea 1:7 honouring the promise that the house of David will exist as a people forever in 2 Samuel 7:12 - 7:16 as proof Allaah does not change His promises and covenant agreements which are confirmed between Allaah and the Jewish people forever in Isaiah 59:21. In Jeremiah 3:8 Allaah gave the northern kingdom of Israel a bill of divorce and said this anger of Allaah will not be forever in Jeremiah 3:12 for whoever repents by admitting their guilt in Jeremiah 3:13 like King David who admitted his guilt of adultery and murder and was forgiven his sins by the mercy of Allaah. In Jeremiah 3:14 is the promise of Allaah to bring the exiled children of the northern kingdom of Israel back to Zion (Israel). Allaah temporarily took His mercy away from the children of Israel in the northern kingdom of Israel in Hosea 1:6). ”Or which of My creditors is it to whom I (Allaah) have sold you (the Jewish people)?” It is for your (the southern kingdom of Judah’s) wrong doing you were sold (temporarily in exile as a punishment so that you might repent to Allaah and correct your behaviour and not because Allaah abandoned you for payment), and for your transgressions (wrong doing) was your mother put away (temporarily exiled as punishment so that you might repent to Allaah and correct your behaviour and not because Allaah abandoned you with a bill of divorce of which none was given to the Jewish people who lived in the southern kingdom of Judah. In Isaiah 51 Allaah calls everyone who seeks righteousness Ecclesiastes 7:20, Proverbs 24:16, Ezekiel 18:22 – 18:23, Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 55:7, Hosea 14:2 – 14:3 and Micah 6:6 – 6:8 as proof Allaah has not abandoned the Jewish people. Amos 9:14 And I (Allaah) will return the captivity (from exile) of My people Israel, and they shall build the desolate cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink their wine; they shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit.

Amos 9:15 And I (Allaah) will plant them (the lost tribes of the Northern Kingdom of Israel) on their land (Israel), and they shall no more be taken out of their land which I (Allaah) have given them, said the LORD your Allaah.

Note 2. Allaah destroyed the Northern Kingdom of Israel and its people were exiled because they turned to idol worship.

At the same time Allaah saved the southern kingdom of Judah because they were faithful to Allaah.

13. Explain Malachi 2:3

Explain spread dung of your sacrifices on your faces.

Giving sacrifice to Allaah is like giving dung in the sight of Allaah when Allaah is not in your heart (Malachi 2:2) or you turn people away from the Torah (Malachi 2:8) or you do not follow the Torah (Malachi 2:8 and 2:10) or you have taken a second wife who prays to foreign gods and put her about your Israelite first wife and have been unjust to your Israelite wife (Malachi 2:11 - 2:16) or you say that everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord (Malachi 2:17).

All these people who bring sacrifices to the temple in Jerusalem and are accepted by the priests will all have their sacrifices rejected by Allaah because without correcting your behaviour your sacrifices are like dung in the sight of Allaah meaning offering sacrifices at the temple in Jerusalem without correcting behaviour is rejected by Allaah.

Malachi 2:3 Look, I (Allaah) will rebuke the seed (the children of Israel in Malachi 2:11 - 2:17 by telling them how they have disobeyed and wearied Allaah) for your hurt (committed against Allaah in the temple in Jerusalem), and will spread dung of your sacrifices on your faces (meaning Allaah will reject the sacrifices offered at the temple in Jerusalem by those who have not corrected their evil behaviour), and you (your deeds) shall be taken away with it (meaning your deeds will be like dung in the sight of Allaah because it is foretold that you will not listened to your Lord in Malachi 2:2).

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one father? Has not one Allaah created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers (which they made with Allaah)?

Note 1. The children of Israel are cursed and punished by Allaah when they break their covenant agreement (which is the Torah) with Allaah.

Quran 17:8 Koran 17:8 (The mercy of Allaah was on the children of Israel when Allaah chose them from among all the people in the world 1800 years before the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Quran 44:32 and Quran 45:16 and gave the children of Israel the Holy land of Canaan today Israel and Palestine in Quran 5:20 – 5:21 where the children of Israel built the First Temple of Allaah in Jerusalem Al-Quds 1500 years before the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Quran 34:13. After Allaah explains the destruction of the first Jewish Temple of Allaah in Jerusalem Al-Quds 1150 years before the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Quran 17:4 – 17:5 then came the mercy of Allaah which again established the Jews and the second Jewish Temple of Allaah in Jerusalem Al-Quds 1080 years before the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Quran 17:6 followed by the destruction of the second Temple of Allaah in Jerusalem Al-Quds 500 years before the birth of Prophet Muhammad in Quran 17:7. Then Allaah through Prophet Muhammad foretold the future), “It may be that your Lord (Allaah) shall have mercy on you (which happened when the children of Israel the Jews the Hebrews were returned to Jerusalem Al-Quds 1300 years after the death of Prophet Muhammad as foretold in Quran 17:8), but if you repeat (the sin of arrogance) We (Allaah) shall repeat (the punishment), and We (Allaah) have appointed Hell Jahannam as the home (in the hereafter) for the disbelievers.”

Note 1. The children of Israel are blessed and rewarded by Allaah when they keep their covenant agreement (which is the Torah) with Allaah.

Conclusion.

Malachi 2:3 is the curse of Allaah to some in one generation of the children of Israel and Quran 17:8 is the mercy of Allaah to some in another generation of the children of Israel showing how Allaah tests each person in each generation of the children of Israel.

Zechariah 12:1 A prophecy: The word of the LORD concerning Israel says the LORD, who stretched out the heavens (the expander of the heavens from one horizon to the other horizon) and laid the foundation of the earth and formed the spirit of man within him:

Zechariah 12:2 ”I will make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the peoples round it reeling. Judah shall be besieged as well as Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:3 And it shall happen in that day when all the nations are gathered against it (Jerusalem) that I (Allaah) will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it (Jerusalem) shall injure themselves.

Zechariah 12:4 In that day, says the LORD, “I will strike every horse with panic and his rider with madness.” I will keep a watchful eye over Judah but I will blind the horsemen of the nations.

Zechariah 12:5 Then the clans of Judah shall say in their heart: 'The people of Jerusalem are strong because the LORD Almighty is their Allaah.'

Zechariah 12:6 ”In that day I will make the clans of Judah like a pan of fire in a pile of wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples around them right and left but Jerusalem shall stay (safe) in its place.”

Zechariah 12:7 The LORD shall first save the homes of Judah (outside of Jerusalem) so that the honour of the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be greater than that of Judah (meaning it will be clear that salvation for Judah came from Allaah and not from the house of David or from Jerusalem meaning the one to be praised is Allaah).

Zechariah 12:8 In that day the LORD shall protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that the weakest among them will be like David; and the house of David will be like Allaah (meaning powerful) like the angel of the LORD (Allaah) going before them (their enemies).

Zechariah 12:9 In that day I (Allaah) will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they (the Jewish people, the house of David, Jerusalem) shall look to Me (Allaah) because they (the enemies of Jerusalem) have thrust him through (killing a loved soldier like those described in Zechariah 12:11) ; and they (the Jewish people, the house of David, Jerusalem) shall mourn for him (the killing a loved soldier like those described in Zechariah 12:11), like one mourns for his only son, and (the Jewish people, the house of David, Jerusalem) shall be in bitterness for him (the killing a loved soldier like those described in Zechariah 12:11), like one that is in bitterness for his first-born (meaning this event of national sadness will make all Israel turn to Allaah in remembrance of Allaah and in repentance to Allaah).

Note 1. Zechariah 12:10 is not about the death of Jesus by crucifixion but about how a loved one who is killed with a sword in the battle between Israel and Gog will move all Israel to remember Allaah and this will bring the defeat of Gog and will bring the messianic age.

Note 2. The death in Zechariah 12:10 is a person of leadership meaning an anointed one meaning a messiah called mashiach ben Yosef or messiah son of Joseph according to the Talmud not the messiah called mashiach ben Dawid or messiah son of David.

This death will cause Israel to turn to Allaah and will result in the coming of the messiah called “a redeemer” in Isaiah 59:20 who is mashiach ben Dawid or messiah son of David who will start the messianic age.

Isaiah 59:20 ”The redeemer (the messiah David) will come to Zion (Jerusalem), to those in Jacob (Israel) who repent for their sins”, said the LORD.

Note 3. In the end time war between Israel and Gog and Magog, the result of mourning for the death in the battlefield of messiah son of Joseph (English) Yosef (Hebrew) Yusuf (Arabic) mentioned in the Talmud will be repentance by the Jewish people to Allaah and then will come the messiah son of David (English) Dawid (Hebrew) Dawud (Arabic) called the redeemer in Isaiah 59:20 starting the future messianic age.

Zechariah 12:11 In that day (in Zechariah 12:10 when the siege of Jerusalem and its salvation results in the killing of a beloved soldier there) shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon (the mourning in 1 Kings 22:36 for Ahab the son of Omri who was killed by Hadadrimmon the son of Tabrimmon in Ramoth Gilead in 1 Kings 22:6 and 1 Kings 22:30 - 22:40. Ahab disguised himself in the battle with the Arameans and was killed by an unaimed arrow and like the mourning in 2 Chronicles 35:25) in the valley of Megiddon (the mourning for Josiah the son of Amon who was killed in the valley of Megiddon in a battle with the Pharaoh of Egypt in 2 Kings 23:29 - 23:30 and 2 Chronicles 35:20 - 35:26. Hadadrimmon has no connection to the Valley of Megiddon meaning these are two similar events explaining how a beloved solder will die in battle in Jerusalem in Zechariah 12:10 meaning in future this beloved person in Jerusalem will disguise himself so that he can join this battle because people will not want him to risk his life in this battle in the same way Hadadrimmon representing Ahab disguised himself in 1 Kings 22:30 so that he could join the battle against the Arameans and was killed in battle and in the same way the valley of Megiddon represents Josiah who also disguised himself in 2 Chronicles 35:22 so that he could join the battle against the Pharaoh and was also killed in battle. Allaah warned Ahab that he will die in battle in 1 Kings 22:16 - 22:18 and 1 Kings 22:20 - 22:22 and this is why Ahab went to battle in disguise meaning Zechariah 12:10 is not describing the messiah who is the son of David because the messiah son of David will obey Allaah. The other example of what will happen in Zechariah 12:10 is in 2 Chronicles 35:21 where the Pharaoh has not come to fight Josiah and warns Josiah not to become involved with what the Pharaoh of Egypt is doing or Allaah might destroy him and the Pharaoh is speaking the words of Allaah however in 2 Chronicles 35:22 Josiah does not obey these words and Josiah joins the battle in disguise. In two events called Hadadrimmon and the valley of Megiddon are two examples of people who did not listen to the word of Allaah meaning Zechariah 12:11 shows that Zechariah 12:10 is not about the messiah son of David who will fear Allaah and obey Allaah and will understand what is from Allaah and what is not from Allaah).

Note 1. Zechariah 12:10 is not about the messiah son of David who will fear Allaah meaning he will obey Allaah in Isaiah 11:2 and Isaiah 11:3 because in Zechariah 12:11 Hadadrimmon and the valley of Megiddon represent two people in history who thought they could escape the warning from Allaah not to go to battle by going into battle in disguise.

Zechariah 12:11 describes what will happen in Zechariah 12:10.

Zechariah 12:10 describes one person who will be killed in future as being like Zechariah 12:11 which describes two people in history who were killed because they did not obey the word of Allaah not to go to battle and instead they went to battle in disguise meaning Zechariah 12:10 and Zechariah 12:11 is not about the messiah son of David who will fear and obey Allaah in Isaiah 11:2 and Isaiah 11:3.

Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come a shoot (a biological descendant in the messianic age) out of the stock (the biological descendants) of Jesse (the father of King David), and a twig (a biological descendant) shall grow out of his (Jesse’s) roots (biological offspring).

Note 1. The messiah will be a biological descendant of a man meaning this messiah is not Allaah or part of Allaah.

1 Samuel 17:58 And (King) Saul said to him (David) 'Whose son are you, young man?' And David answered: 'I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.'

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest on him (a biological descendant of messiah King David through messiah King Solomon), the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD (in the messianic age).

Note 1. The messiah will fear Allaah meaning this messiah is not Allaah or part of Allaah.

Isaiah 11:3 And his (the messiah through the messiah king David and through the messiah king Solomon) delight shall be in the fear of the LORD (Allaah); and (through wisdom to judge people in court like the wisdom Allaah gave to the messiah king Solomon) he shall not judge by the sight of his eyes (meaning it will not matter if a person to be judged looks like a poor person or looks like a wealthy person), neither (shall he) decide by the hearing of his ears (meaning it will not matter if a person to be judged can speak well or cannot speak well);

Note 1. The messiah will fear Allaah meaning this messiah is not Allaah or part of Allaah.

Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness (fairness, using wisdom to judge instead of using his eyes to judge or his ears to judge a person) he (the messiah through the messiah king David and through the messiah king Solomon) shall judge the poor (meaning he will not be a corrupt judge who does favours for wealthy people), and (he shall) decide with equity (fairness) for the meek (the humble people) of the land (meaning he will not be a corrupt judge who does favours for wealthy people); and he shall smite the (sinful people of the) land with (wisdom from) the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips (mouth) he shall (give wise judgement to) slay the wicked.

Note 1. The messiah is a king who will judge with wisdom and with justice meaning this messiah is not Allaah or part of Allaah.

Zechariah 12:12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart: the family of the house of David apart and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart and their wives apart;

Note 1. The people of the future will be the biological descendants of the past.

Zechariah 12:13 The family of the house of Levi (the priests and the Levites) apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites (Shammua the son of David) apart, and their wives apart;

Note 1. The people of the future will be the biological descendants of the past.

Zechariah 12:14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart (in a national mourning that will make all Israel return to Allaah).
