Quran chapter 17 surah 17.

Allaah took the soul of Prophet Muhammad on a journey at night to the ruins of the temple in Zion Jerusalem in Israel, Al-Quds in Palestine in Quran 17:1 and then to heaven in Quran 17:60 as described in Quran 6:60 and Quran 39:42 “Allaah is the one who takes your souls at night”, Quran 17:60 “the vision” of Prophet Muhammad meaning the dream, Quran 12:6 and Quran 38:45 the vision meaning dream of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim, Prophet Isaac Ishaq and Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel and Quran 48:27 Prophet Muhammad’s vision meaning dream.

In the same way as Allaah gave visions to the prophets of the past Allaah in Quran 17:60 describes the night journey and ascension to heaven of Prophet Muhammad as a vision given to Prophet Muhammad to show the greatest signs of Allaah in Quran 53:18 including the signs of Allaah in Hell Jahannam in Quran 17:60 and the signs of Allaah in Paradise Jannah in Quran 53:13 – 53:18 and the signs of Allaah in the Lote tree marking the farthest boundary beyond which no creation may pass and is one of the places where creations are said to “stand in the presence of Allaah” in Quran 53:16 and the signs of Allaah in Jerusalem Al-Quds whose surroundings Allaah has blessed as the Holy land of Palestine and Israel in Quran 17:1.

This understanding of Quran 17:1 and Quran 17:60 is confirmed in Quran 53:17 which describes dreaming during sleep and by Quran 6:60 and Quran 39:42 which show that Allaah does not raise the physical human body to Himself or to heaven. Only the soul is raised by Allaah to Himself or to heaven. The physical human body is designed for life and death on the earth. The soul is designed for life with Allaah in heaven during sleep and during death.

On the Day of Resurrection in the hereafter on a new earth meaning a new land, a new ground, the soul will be given a new physical body that can feel reward or punishment and every human will testify that death felt like nothing but a one hour sleep or a ten hour sleep or a sleep during part of a morning or part of an afternoon and no one will say that death felt like anything more than sleeping for part of one morning or part of one afternoon.

Since death for every human will feel like nothing but sleeping for part of one day no one will know how long it really was between the time of their death and the time of the Day of Resurrection in Quran 2:259, Quran 18:19, Quran 18:21, Quran 20:103, Quran 20:104, Quran 23:113, Quran 30:55, Quran 46:35 and Quran 79:46.

In Arabia the sacred place of worship is Mecca Arabia today in al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah Saudi Arabia.

He (Allaah) gives it (the Earth) as an inheritance to whom He (Allaah) will. And the end is (success in Paradise in the hereafter) for those who keep their duty (to Allaah).”

4. Do you deal fairly and with justice in the land?

5. In the hereafter no person shall be able to deny that Allaah’s judgement of them will be correct because they shall be shown the good and the evil that they did.

Quran 7:137 Verse 7:137 And We (Allaah) made the people (the Children of Israel) who were considered weak (and oppressed by the Pharaoh Firon of Egypt) to inherit the land in the east and the west of it (the Jordan River) which We (Allaah) blessed (as the Holy Land of Canaan in Quran 5:20 - 5:21 today in Israel and Palestine and blessed it in Quran 17:1, 21:71, 21:81). And the good word of your Lord (Allaah in Quran 7:129 promising to destroy the enemy so that the Children of Israel inherited the Holy Land) was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because they were patient. And We (Allaah) destroyed what the Pharaoh Firon and his people used to make and erect (as seen today in Egypt in the ruins from the past).

Quran 5:20 Verse 5:20 And (mention) when Prophet Moses Musa said to his people (the children of Israel), “O my people, remember Allaah’s favour to you, how He (Allaah) placed among you prophets (foretold in the Torah Taurat which Allaah has revealed to you) and He (Allaah) made Kings for you (foretold in the Torah Taurat which Allaah has revealed to you) and gave you what He (Allaah) had not given to anyone else in the world (which is the Holy Land where you shall live as a Holy blessed and righteous people in Quran 5:21 and foretold in the Torah Taurat which Allaah has revealed to you).”

Quran 5:21 Verse 5:21 (Prophet Moses Musa said), "O my people (the children of Israel), enter the Holy Land (Canaan, today known as Israel and Palestine) which Allaah has given to you and do not turn back (in fear of the people that are there) or you shall returned as the losers."

Quran 5:22 Verse 5:22 They (the children of Israel) said, O Prophet Moses Musa, “Mighty people (live) there (in Canaan, today known as Israel and Palestine), we shall not go (to the Holy Land) until they leave. (Only) when they leave shall we go there.

Quran 5:23 Verse 5:23 Two among them (Joshua Yashu and Caleb Kalab) who feared (Allaah) and on whom Allaah had bestowed His (Allaah’s) Grace said, “Enter (attack) through the gate and when you (the children of Israel) enter you shall be victorious. Put your trust (in Allaah) if you have faith (in Allaah).”

Quran 5:24 Verse 5:24 They (the children of Israel) said, "O Moses Musa, as long as they are in it (Canaan, today known as Israel and Palestine) we (the children of Israel) shall never be able to enter it. You (Prophet Moses Musa) and your Lord (Allaah) go and fight and we (the children of Israel) shall sit here."

Quran 5:25 Verse 5:25 He (Prophet Moses Musa) said, “My Lord (Allaah), I have control of none but myself and my brother (Prophet Aaron Harun), so distinguish between us and the disobedient people.”

Quran 5:26 Verse 5:26 Allaah said, “For this (because the children of Israel fear fighting against the idol worshippers in Canaan more than they fear Allaah and for their continuous disobedience to Allaah) the land (the promised Holy Land of Canaan, today Israel and Palestine) shall be forbidden to them (the children of Israel) for forty years and they shall wander in the land (in the wilderness of the Sinai Peninsula, Sinai desert, as punishment from Allaah). So (Prophet Moses Musa) do not grieve for the disobedient people (among the children of Israel).”

Quran 17:1 Verse 17:1 Exalted is He (Allaah) who took His (Allaah’s) servant (Prophet Muhammad in a journey) by night from the sacred place of worship (the Kabah in Mecca Makkah Arabia today Saudi Arabia) to the distant place of worship (the ruins of the second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem Al-Quds Palestine today Israel and Palestine that had been destroyed by the Roman empire) whose surroundings We (Allaah) have blessed (as the Holy Land), (Prophet Muhammad was taken here) to show him Our (Allaah’s) signs. Allaah took Prophet Muhammad on a journey at night called the Isra and Miraj (Isra and Mi'raj).

In the first part of the Night Journey (Isra) the soul of Prophet Muhammad was taken across the sky from Mecca Makkah Arabia to Jerusalem Al-Quds Palestine and from the rock that is covered today by the construction called The Dome of the Rock (Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah, Kipat Hasela on the Temple Mount) the soul of Prophet Muhammad departed on the second part of the journey called the ascension Miraj (Mi'raj Ladder) and ascended to Heaven.

The soul of Prophet Muhammad was returned back to Mecca Makkah all in the one night.

2B. Did Prophet Muhammad visit heaven physically or in a vision dream in Quran 17:60?

Allaah took the soul of Prophet Muhammad on a journey at night to the ruins of the temple in Zion Jerusalem in Israel, Al-Quds in Palestine in Quran 17:1 and then to heaven in Quran 17:60 as described in Quran 6:60 and Quran 39:42 “Allaah is the one who takes your souls at night”, Quran 17:60 “the vision” of Prophet Muhammad meaning the dream, Quran 12:6 and Quran 38:45 the vision meaning dream of Prophet Abraham Ibrahim, Prophet Isaac Ishaq and Prophet Jacob Yaqub Israel and Quran 48:27 Prophet Muhammad’s vision meaning dream.

This understanding of Quran 17:1 and Quran 17:60 is confirmed in Quran 53:17 which describes dreaming during sleep and by Quran 6:60 and Quran 39:42 which show that Allaah does not raise the physical human body to Himself or to heaven. Only the soul is raised by Allaah to Himself or to heaven. The physical human body is designed for life and death on the earth. The soul is designed for life with Allaah in heaven during sleep and during death.

On the Day of Resurrection in the hereafter on a new earth meaning a new land, a new ground, the soul will be given a new physical body that can feel reward or punishment and every human will testify that death felt like nothing but a one hour sleep or a ten hour sleep or a sleep during part of a morning or part of an afternoon and no one will say that death felt like anything more than sleeping for part of one morning or part of one afternoon. Since death for every human will feel like nothing but sleeping for part of one day no one will know how long it really was between the time of their death and the time of the Day of Resurrection in Quran 2:259, Quran 18:19, Quran 18:21, Quran 20:103, Quran 20:104, Quran 23:113, Quran 30:55, Quran 46:35 and Quran 79:46.

Comment 3. The distant place of worship in Jerusalem Al-Quds Palestine.

In Quran 17:1 the distant place of worship is the ruins of the second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem Al-Quds Palestine which was destroyed by the Roman Empire.

This was the direction to which the Jews in Arabia faced during their prayers to Allaah.

In Quran 17:1 the surroundings that are blessed by Allaah is the site of the destroyed first and second Jewish Temples that were built one on top of the other in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

Part of the Western Wall survived the destruction of the second Jewish temple in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

The Western Wall of the Temple grounds is also called the Wailing Wall, Crying Wall, Kotel, Kotel HaMaaravi, Al-Buraq Wall.

The Western Wall would have been one of the signs among the ruins of the destroyed Jewish Temple that existed on the night when Allaah took Prophet Muhammad in a journey from Mecca Makkah Arabia to Jerusalem Al-Quds Palestine today Israel and Palestine.

In Quran 17:1 Allaah reveals that Prophet Muhammad was shown the signs of Allaah at the blessed site so the Western Wall would have been among the signs at the ruins among the rubble.

Other signs were shown to Prophet Muhammad when Prophet Muhammad was raised into Heaven in the ascension (Miraj, ladder) during a visit to the Heavens.

Comment 4. Allaah confirmed the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad.

4a. Allaah confirmed the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad by allowing the building of the Dome of the Rock (Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah) in 72 AH (691 CE, 691 AD, 691) on the Holy Ground of the Temple Mount of Allaah in Jerusalem, Al-Quds, Palestine.

The Dome of the Rock is a shrine to commemorate the place where Allaah took the soul of Prophet Muhammad in a night journey from Mecca Makkah to Jerusalem Al-Quds from where the soul of Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven to see the signs of Allaah in Quran 17:1, 17:60 and 53:13 – 53:18.

Allaah showed Allaah’s blessing for what Prophet Muhammad had revealed to the world when a Mosque was constructed on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem Al-Quds where Allaah’s first and second Jewish Temples had stood but had long before been destroyed.

Al-Masjid al-Aqsa (al-Aqsa Mosque) in Al-Quds Palestine is built on the site where the second Jewish Temple had been destroyed by the Roman Empire.

Only Allaah had the power to allow the construction of a house for the worship of Allaah on Allaah’s blessed land as a sign to all who worship Allaah.

This was at the distant place of worship in Jerusalem Al-Quds in Palestine in Quran 17:1.

It was distant from Mecca Makkah Arabia today Saudi Arabia.

Allaah confirmed the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad by allowing the building of the the Al-Aqsa Mosque (al-Masjid al-Aqsa, the Farthest Mosque, Al-Aqsa, Bayt al-Muqaddas) in 85 AH (705 CE, 705 AD) on the Holy Ground of the Temple Mount of Allaah in Jerusalem, Al-Quds, Palestine.

4c. The prophecy of Jesus was fulfilled.

Only Allaah can allow the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount to show to the world the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad and to confirm that Muhammad is the next prophet that Jesus Isa said would come after Jesus in the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 – 15:27, 16:7 – 16:15.

Comment 5. The western wall on the Temple Mount.

Today at the ruins of the Jewish Temple which was the distant place of worship in Quran 17:1 there still survives part of the Western Wall of the Jewish Temple known by Jews as the Wailing Wall (Crying Wall, Kotel, Kotel HaMaaravi, Al-Buraq Wall).

Behind the Western Wall is were the Temple ruins once lay and where a Shrine was built to remember the night journey and the place where the soul of Prophet Muhammad ascended to Heaven and where a Mosque (al-Masjid al-Aqsa, the al-Aqsa Mosque) was constructed in Al-Quds in Palestine after the death of Prophet Muhammad.

Comment 6. The Temple Mount in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

6a. Today both Muslims and Jews worship Allaah on the blessed Holy land of the destroyed first and second Jewish Temples in Jerusalem Al-Quds.

The Jews pray to Allaah next to the Western Wall of the Temple and the Muslims pray to Allaah in the al-Aqsa Mosque that was built behind the Western Wall on part of the Temple that had been destroyed by the Roman Empire.

6b. Jews understand that the Allaah of the Jews is the same as the Allaah of the Muslims and this is why Jews are allowed to pray in a mosque when there is no nearby synagogue..

6c. Allaah appointed a divine law for Jews and Christians and Muslims.

Quran 5:48 Verse 5:48 And to you (Prophet Muhammad) We (Allaah) revealed the Scripture (the Quran) with the truth that confirmed the Scripture that was before it (in the Gospel Injil and the Torah Taurat) and (for you Prophet Muhammad to be) a guardian over it (the Quran). So judge between them (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) by what Allaah has revealed (to you Prophet Muhammad) and do not let their desires move you away from the truth that has come to you. For each (community of Jews, Christians and Muslims) We (Allaah) have appointed a divine law and a way (of religion). If Allaah willed He (Allaah) could have made you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) one community. But He (Allaah) tests you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) by what He (Allaah) has given you (in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran to show who is best in behaviour). So strive for all that is good. To Allaah you shall all return and He (Allaah) shall then inform you (in the Hereafter) about (the correctness of) the religious matters in which you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) argue among each other.

Note 1. Allaah does not require humans to all be in one religion (Quran 5:48).

Note 2. Allaah does require that every religion worship only Allaah (Quran 3:85).

Note 3. Allaah says if the Jews and the Christians and others worship only Allaah like the Muslims worship only Allaah then the Jews and the Christians and others are correctly guided by Allaah (Quran 3:64).

Note 4. Allaah commands the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims to do what is good according to what Allaah has given them in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran to show which humans are the best in behaviour.

Note 5. Allaah says that on the Day of Resurrection and Judgement in the hereafter every human will return to Allaah and Allaah shall inform them about the religious matters about which they argued.

Note 6. Allaah protects the Torah Taurat for every Jewish generation until the Day of Judgement (Quran 5:48).

Note 7. Allaah protects the Gospel Injil for every Christian generation until the Day of Judgement (Quran 5:48) in the following way.

Prophet Jesus Isa did not write anything because everything Prophet Jesus Isa taught by his mouth was already written in the Tanakh Jewish scripture meaning Prophet Jesus Isa did not add or subtract from what is in Tanakh Jewish scripture.

The four Gospel Injil are four reports about Prophet Jesus Isa meaning Prophet Jesus Isa never wrote anything and what he said was passed by mouth until it was written many years later.

Quran 5:68 says observe the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and Quran 5:47 tells Christians to judge by the Gospel Injil (not by the other books in the Christian New Testament Bible because what Paul teaches contradicts what Jesus is teaching in the Gospel Injil and anything about fallen angels found in the Book of Enoch and in the Book of Revelation are all rejected in Judaism because in the Hebrew Tanakh scripture angels always obey Allaah. Jewish people do not use the Christian produced Old Testament Bible because many contain wrong translations of the Hebrew Tanakh) meaning whatever in the Gospel Injil is confirmed in the Jewish Torah Taurat came from Prophet Jesus Isa and whatever contradicts the Jewish Torah Taurat came from the unknown writers who are traditionally called Mark, Matthew, Luke and John in a test from Allaah described in 1 Kings 13:14 - 13:24 teaching that the word of Allaah will not change and do not believe anyone or any verse in Mark, Matthew, Luke or John which contradicts the teachings in the Tanakh which Prophet Jesus Isa said is with the Jewish people forever and will never change and must be followed forever by the Jewish people in Gospel of Matthew 5:17 - 5:20 and Gospel of Matthew 23:1 - 23:3. In this way a Christian can know what came from Prophet Jesus Isa confirming Tanakh and what did not come from Prophet Jesus Isa because it contradicts the Tanakh (which is the Torah law and the prophets and the writings like the Psalms) which Jesus was teaching in Gospel of Luke 24:44.

Note 8. Allaah protects the Koran Quran for every Muslim generation until the Day of Judgement (Quran 5:48).

Note 9. Entry to Paradise the Garden of Eden the Garden of Righteousness Jannah is not based on the question of Sunni or Shia or Muslim or Jew or Christian but it is based on your good behaviour towards all humans and creatures in this world and your relationship with Allaah (Quran 5:48).

Note 10. In the sight of humans Judaism and Christianity and Sabians and Islam are different religions.

Note 11. In the sight of Allaah Judaism and Christianity and Sabians and Islam are “different communities of Allaah” because they were all created by Allaah for only one reason which is “to submit to Allaah.”

6d. Why do Muslims love Jews? Why do Muslims love Christians?

Allaah loves the Jews.

Allaah loves the Jews with the promise of a double reward in the hereafter.

Allaah loves the children of Israel.

Allaah loves the children of Israel with the promise of a double reward in the hereafter.

Allaah loves the Christians.

Allaah loves the Christians with the promise of a double reward in the hereafter.

Quran 28:53 Verse 28:53 And when it (the Quran) is recited to them (the Jews who truly believe the Torah Taurat and the Christians who truly believe the Gospel Injil), they (those Jews and Christians) say, “We believe in it (the Koran Quran). It is the truth from our Lord (Allaah). Even before it (the Quran was revealed to us) we were of those (Jews and Christians) who submitted (to Allaah. The English word submitter is the Arabic word Muslim. Islam the religion means submission and Muslim the believer means submitter. Submitter and submission for the Muslim people is in Quran 47:19 “…there is no Allaah except Allaah …” and submitter and submission for the Jewish people is in Torah Exodus 20:2 “.... You shall have no other gods before Me Allaah” and submitter and submission for the Christian people is in the Gospel of Jesus Isa by Luke 4:8 “… You shall worship the Lord your Allaah, and him only shall you serve” meaning Allaah inspired the same belief of Islam which is an Arabic word meaning submission, to Allaah in Judaism, Christianity, Islam and in others).

Quran 28:54 Verse 28:54 They (the Jews who truly believe the Torah Taurat and the Christians who truly believe the Gospel Injil and also believe the Quran) shall be given their reward twice (in Quran 28:54 meaning twofold in Quran 34:37 meaning double in Quran 57:28) because they are steadfast (in their belief in Allaah) and they repel evil with good (deeds) and they spend (in charity) from what We (Allaah) have provided to them. (Jews like Quran 3:113-3:115 and Christians like Quran 5:82-5:85 who follow their Book in Quran 5:68 and also believe the Quran will receive a double reward in the hereafter in Quran 28:54, Quran 34:37 and Quran 57:28 meaning the reward for every good deed they do will be doubled because they believed the Quran which tells the Jewish people to follow the Torah Taurat which is their eternal covenant between Allaah and the Hebrew people forever and tells the Christian people to follow the Gospel Injil which is explained in the Quran and tells the Muslim people to follow the Quran is confirmed in Quran 2:40, Quran 2:41, Quran 2:62, Quran 2:106, Quran 3:93, Quran 4:123, Quran 5:43, Quran 5:47, Quran 5:48, Quran 5:69 and Quran 13:39).

6f. Why did Allaah order Muslims to forgive the Children of Israel?

Humans who forgive humans follow in the way of Allaah.

Quran 5:13 Verse 5:13 "... You shall not cease to discover treachery from them (dishonesty from their words) except for a few of them (who are honest in their word).
