Quran 67:0 Koran 67:0 Verse 67:0 Ayah 67:0 Ayat 67:0 Aya 67:0 In the name of Allaah, The Most Kind, The Most Merciful.

Quran 67:1 Koran 67:1 Verse 67:1 Ayah 67:1 Ayat 67:1 Aya 67:1 Blessed is He (Allaah) in whose hand (meaning, in whose control) is the dominion. He (Allaah) is able to do all things.

Quran 67:2 Koran 67:2 Verse 67:2 Ayah 67:2 Ayat 67:2 Aya 67:2 (Allaah) is the One who created death and life to test which of you is best in behavior. He (Allaah) is mighty and forgiving.

Comment 1. What is the purpose of life?

See Quran 44:38 comments in Quran chapter 44.

Quran 67:3 Koran 67:3 Verse 67:3 Ayah 67:3 Ayat 67:3 Aya 67:3 (Allaah) is the One who has created seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see in the creation of (the sky by) the most merciful (Allaah) any fault. Now look again (at the sky) can you see any fault?

Quran 67:4 Koran 67:4 Verse 67:4 Ayah 67:4 Ayat 67:4 Aya 67:4 Look again (once at the sky) and again (a second time at the sky). Your sight shall return to you humbled and fatigued (and all you did was to look at Allaah’s creation for two brief moments).

Quran 67:5 Koran 67:5 Verse 67:5 Ayah 67:5 Ayat 67:5 Aya 67:5 And we have adorned the lowest heaven (the sky of the Earth) with lamps (lights, stars, planets, meteors) and made (some of) them (lights such as meteors to be) missiles against the devils (the rebellious jinn, the disobedient jinn) and for them (the wrong doers among the jinn) We (Allaah) have prepared the punishment of flame (in Hell Jahannam in the Hereafter).

Comment 1. In allegorical (abstract, emblematic, figurative, metaphorical, metaphoric, symbolic, not literal) terms angels represent “good” and devils (rebellious jinn, disobedient jinn) represent “evil” and meteor stones represent the force of Allaah chasing away the evil.

The same allegorical (abstract, emblematic, figurative, metaphorical, metaphoric, symbolic, not literal) terms are used in the yearly hajj to Mina near Makkah where people throw stones at three walls (jamarat, singular jamrah) which represent the Devil (Satan Shaitan).

Comment 2. The Devils.

Quran 26:221 Verse 26:221 Shall I inform you (people) on whom the Devils (Shaitans) descend?

Quran 26:222 Verse 26:222 They (the Devils Shaitans) descend on every sinful liar.

Quran 26:223 Verse 26:223 They (the Devils Shaitans) repeat (to humans) what they heard (the angels say) but most (of what the Devils Shaitans say to humans) are lies.

Later Allaah prevented the Devils Shaitans from listening to the Angels.

Quran 72:8 Verse 72:8 And we (the Devils Shaitans) have tried (to reach) the heavens (where the angels talk to each other) but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.

Quran 72:9 Verse 72:9 We (the Devils Shaitans) use to sit (in hidden places in the heavens) and listen (in secret to the angels recite the Quran from Allaah) but now whoever tries to listen (in secret to the angels) shall find a burning flame waiting for them.

Comment 3. What is the purpose of life?

See Quran 44:38 comments in Quran chapter 44.

Quran 67:6 Koran 67:6 Verse 67:6 Ayah 67:6 Ayat 67:6 Aya 67:6 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allaah) there is the punishment of Hell Jahannam, the (final) destination for evil.

Quran 67:7 Koran 67:7 Verse 67:7 Ayah 67:7 Ayat 67:7 Aya 67:7 And when they (who are evil) are thrown in it (Hell fire Jahannam) they shall hear a loud, angry boiling sound (from the flames) -

Quran 67:8 Koran 67:8 Verse 67:8 Ayah 67:8 Ayat 67:8 Aya 67:8 Almost bursting with fury. Every time a group are thrown in (Hell fire Jahannam), the wardens (of Hell shall) ask them, “Did not a warner come to you (and warn you to do what is good and avoid doing what is bad)?”

Quran 67:9 Koran 67:9 Verse 67:9 Ayah 67:9 Ayat 67:9 Aya 67:9 They shall reply, “Yes a warner came to us but we rejected (him)” and said, “Allaah has not sent down anything, you are in error (if you believe that Allaah sends messengers).”

Quran 67:10 Koran 67:10 Verse 67:10 Ayah 67:10 Ayat 67:10 Aya 67:10 And they shall say, “If only we had listened and reasoned then we would not be among the companions of the flames (in Hell Jahannam in the Hereafter).”

Quran 67:11 Koran 67:11 Verse 67:11 Ayah 67:11 Ayat 67:11 Aya 67:11 And they shall acknowledge their sins but they shall be far away (from the mercy of Allaah because they shall be) with the companions of the flames (in Hell Jahannam in the Hereafter).

Quran 67:12 Koran 67:12 Verse 67:12 Ayah 67:12 Ayat 67:12 Aya 67:12 Those who fear their Lord (Allaah) even though they cannot see (Allaah) shall have forgiveness and a great reward (from Allaah in the hereafter).

Quran 67:13 Koran 67:13 Verse 67:13 Ayah 67:13 Ayat 67:13 Aya 67:13 And whether you conceal your words or declare them (your words). He (Allaah) knows all that is in the hearts (and minds of every person).

Quran 67:14 Koran 67:14 Verse 67:14 Ayah 67:14 Ayat 67:14 Aya 67:14 Would He (Allaah) not know (all about) what He (Allaah) created? He (Allaah) is the subtle and aware.

Quran 67:15 Koran 67:15 Verse 67:15 Ayah 67:15 Ayat 67:15 Aya 67:15 It is He (Allaah) who has made the earth subject to you, so travel along its paths and eat of His (Allaah’s) provisions and to Him (Allaah) shall be the resurrection (of the dead back to life in the hereafter).

Quran 67:16 Koran 67:16 Verse 67:16 Ayah 67:16 Ayat 67:16 Aya 67:16 Do you feel secure that He (Allaah) who (commands authority) in heaven shall not cause you to be swallowed by the earth when it shakes (like an earthquake)?

Quran 67:17 Koran 67:17 Verse 67:17 Ayah 67:17 Ayat 67:17 Aya 67:17 Or do you feel secure that He (Allaah) who (commands authority) in heaven shall not send a violent storm with hale stones against you. Then you would know how (severe) was My (Allaah’s) warning.

Quran 67:18 Koran 67:18 Verse 67:18 Ayah 67:18 Ayat 67:18 Aya 67:18 And those before them (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah Arabia) had already rejected (Allaah) and see how (great) was My (Allaah’s) action (against them).

Quran 67:19 Koran 67:19 Verse 67:19 Ayah 67:19 Ayat 67:19 Aya 67:19 Do they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) not see the birds above them, spreading their wings out and folding them back (as they fly in the sky)? No one holds them up (in the sky) except (Allaah the) most merciful. He (Allaah) sees all things.

Quran 67:20 Koran 67:20 Verse 67:20 Ayah 67:20 Ayat 67:20 Aya 67:20 Who is there that can help you like an army except the Most Merciful (Allaah)? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion.

Quran 67:21 Koran 67:21 Verse 67:21 Ayah 67:21 Ayat 67:21 Aya 67:21 Or who is it that could provide for you if He (Allaah) withheld His (Allaah’s) provision? But (still) they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) continued in arrogance and dislike (of Allaah).

Quran 67:22 Koran 67:22 Verse 67:22 Ayah 67:22 Ayat 67:22 Aya 67:22 Is the one who walks with their face down (not looking where they go) better guided than the one who walks upright on a straight path?

Quran 67:25 Koran 67:25 Verse 67:25 Ayah 67:25 Ayat 67:25 Aya 67:25 And they (the stone idol worshippers in Makkah) ask, “When shall this promise (that a punishment shall come to us be fulfilled) if you are telling the truth?”

Quran 67:27 Koran 67:27 Verse 67:27 Ayah 67:27 Ayat 67:27 Aya 67:27 But when they shall see it (Allaah’s punishment) approaching, the faces of those who disbelieved shall be distressed and it shall be said, “This is that (punishment) which you used to call for.”
