Chapter : Verse.

(Information in brackets is added to assist readers in the interpretation of the verse).

Quran 57:0 Koran 57:0 Verse 57:0 Ayah 57:0 Ayat 57:0 Aya 57:0 In the name of Allaah, The Most Kind, The Most Merciful.

Quran 57:1 Koran 57:1 Verse 57:1 Ayah 57:1 Ayat 57:1 Aya 57:1 All that is in the heavens and the earth exalts Allaah (because every creation depends on Allaah for its existence). He (Allaah) is almighty (the source of all power) and wise (the source of all wisdom).

Quran 57:2 Koran 57:2 Verse 57:2 Ayah 57:2 Ayat 57:2 Aya 57:2 To Him (Allaah) belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He (Allaah) gives life and causes death and He (Allaah) is able to do all things.

Quran 57:3 Koran 57:3 Verse 57:3 Ayah 57:3 Ayat 57:3 Aya 57:3 He (Allaah) is the First (meaning there is no one before Allaah because only Allaah has always existed meaning Allaah existed before anything was created) and the Last (meaning when the first creation is destroyed there will be no one except Allaah because Allaah exists forever) and (He knows) the apparent (the observable) and (He knows the) unapparent (everything that is hidden). He (Allaah) has knowledge of everything.

Comment 1. YHVH in the Quran.

“He was” the First.

“He is” He knows everything.

“He will be” the Last.

Comment 2. The Quran confirms the Gospel Injil.

Gospel of John 1:1 In the beginning (before anything was created) was the Word (which Allaah had decreed), and the Word (which Allaah had decreed) was with Allaah, and the Word (which Allaah had decreed) was Allaah (meaning everything is decreed by Allaah).

Gospel of John 1:2 He (meaning everything that Allaah had decreed) was with Allaah in the beginning (meaning Allaah decreed the past and the present and the future before anything was created).

Gospel of John 1:3 Through him (Allaah) all things were made, and without him (Allaah) not one thing was made that has been made.

Gospel of John 1:4 In him (Allaah) was life (that Allaah had decreed), and (in) that life (that Allaah had decreed there) was the light (of guidance) for humankind.

Gospel of John 1:5 And the light (of guidance) shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not mastered it (because darkness is removed when the light of guidance shines).

Comment 3. Every prophet of God is “the Word of God made flesh” meaning the word of God comes out of the mouth of every prophet of God in Deuteronomy 18:18.

See Quran 5:116 comments in Quran chapter 5.

Quran 57:4 Koran 57:4 Verse 57:4 Ayah 57:4 Ayat 57:4 Aya 57:4 It is He (Allaah) who created the heavens and the Earth in six Days (six periods of time) and then He (Allaah) ruled over the Throne (of Allaah’s authority which exists over all the creation). He (Allaah) knows about everything that goes into the earth and that comes out of it (the earth) and everything that comes down from the sky and goes up into it (the sky) and He (Allaah) is with you (by Allaah’s knowledge observing you) wherever you are. Allaah sees everything that you do.

Quran 57:5 Koran 57:5 Verse 57:5 Ayah 57:5 Ayat 57:5 Aya 57:5 To Him (Allaah) belong the dominion of the heavens and the Earth and all matters are returned to Allaah (for Allaah’s decision).

Quran 57:6 Koran 57:6 Verse 57:6 Ayah 57:6 Ayat 57:6 Aya 57:6 He (Allaah) causes the night to become day and the day to become night and He (Allaah) knows all that is in the hearts (of humans).

Quran 57:7 Koran 57:7 Verse 57:7 Ayah 57:7 Ayat 57:7 Aya 57:7 Believe in Allaah and His (Allaah’s) messenger and spend (by giving charity) from what He (Allaah) has made you to inherit. Those who believe and spend (by giving charity) shall have a great reward.

Quran 57:8 Koran 57:8 Verse 57:8 Ayah 57:8 Ayat 57:8 Aya 57:8 What is the matter that you do not believe in Allaah (by not willingly obeying) when the messenger calls you to believe in (a commandment from) your Lord (Allaah) when He (Allaah) has already taken your covenant (your pledge of belief), if you (really) believe (in Allaah as you say you do)?

Quran 57:9 Koran 57:9 Verse 57:9 Ayah 57:9 Ayat 57:9 Aya 57:9 It is He (Allaah) who sends down clear revelations (the Quran) to His (Allaah’s) servant (Prophet Muhammad) so that He (Allaah) may bring you (people) from the darkness into the light (of righteous knowledge that is acquired in the life of the world). To you (people) Allaah is full of kindness and most merciful.

Quran 57:10 Koran 57:10 Verse 57:10 Ayah 57:10 Ayat 57:10 Aya 57:10 And what is the matter that you do not spend in the cause of Allaah when to Allaah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those who spent and fought (under the command of Prophet Muhammad) before the victory are not at the same rank as the rest of you (who only joined with Prophet Muhammad after the victory has been achieved). They have a greater rank than those who spent and fought (only) after the victory. To each person Allaah has promised good (reward for good deeds). He (Allaah) is aware of what you do.

Comment 1. People in Paradise Jannah shall have a greater or a lesser rank according to their good deeds.

Higher ranking is obtainable through certain good deeds including charity, kindness and peacemaking in Quran 4:114 and the saving of one human life in Quran 5:32 and forgiving a killer in Quran 5:45 and the freeing of a slave in Quran 90:12-90:13 and those who fought with the prophet before there were victories in Quran 57:10.

Quran 57:11 Koran 57:11 Verse 57:11 Ayah 57:11 Ayat 57:11 Aya 57:11 Who shall lend to Allaah a good loan (of themselves and what they possess and live in the way of Allaah) so that He (Allaah) may increase it (the loan) for them (when Allaah repays the loan in the hereafter) and they shall have a good reward (in Paradise Jannah)? -

Quran 57:12 Koran 57:12 Verse 57:12 Ayah 57:12 Ayat 57:12 Aya 57:12 On the day (in the Hereafter) when you (Prophet Muhammad) shall see the believers, men and women, their light (of righteous knowledge that was acquired in the life of the world) shining in front of them and on their right hands (is the record of their good deeds and it shall be said), “Today is good news for you of gardens beneath which rivers flow where you shall live forever (in Paradise). That is the greatest success.”

Note 1. See Quran 56:8.

Quran 57:13 Koran 57:13 Verse 57:13 Ayah 57:13 Ayat 57:13 Aya 57:13 On the day (in the Hereafter) when the hypocrites (who say they believe in Allaah but they really disbelieve) of both the men and women shall say to those who believe, “Wait for us so we may borrow from your light (of righteous knowledge that was acquired in the life of the world).” It shall be said, “Go back (to the world, but that is impossible to do once you are in the Hereafter) and seek your own light (of righteous knowledge that was acquired in the life of the world).” Then a wall in which is a door shall separate them, the inner side (of the wall) containing mercy (in Paradise) and the outer side (of the wall containing) the punishment (of Hell).

Comment 1. The wall with a door separating Hell and Paradise.

Quran 57:14 Koran 57:14 Verse 57:14 Ayah 57:14 Ayat 57:14 Aya 57:14 They (the hypocrites) shall call to them (who are granted Paradise saying), “Were we not with you?” They (who are granted Paradise) shall say, “Yes, but you tempted each other (to disbelieve in Allaah) and hesitated (to do what Allaah commanded) and doubted (Allaah) and deluded yourself with useless desires until the command of Allaah came (and you entered the Hereafter) and the deceiver (Satan Shaitan) deceived you concerning Allaah.

Quran 57:15 Koran 57:15 Verse 57:15 Ayah 57:15 Ayat 57:15 Aya 57:15 So today no ransom shall be taken from you (the hypocrites who say they believe in Allaah but they really disbelieve) or from those who disbelieved. Your home is the Fire, an evil destination which is the most worthy place for you.

Quran 57:16 Koran 57:16 Verse 57:16 Ayah 57:16 Ayat 57:16 Aya 57:16 Has the time not come for the hearts of those who believe (in Allaah) to submit humbly when remembering Allaah (in prayer) and (when remembering) the truth that has been revealed (in the Quran) incase they become like those who received the Scripture before them (such as the Jews who received the Torah Taurat and the Christians who received the Gospel Injil) in that when the time (on earth) was extended for them (the Jews and the Christians), their hearts hardened and many of them became disobedient (to Allaah for example when some Jews did not follow the Sabbath in the Torah Taurat which is the eternal covenant between Allaah and the Hebrew people in all of their generations and some Christians who did not follow the first and most important commandment confirmed by Jesus in the Gospel Injil that "Allaah is one" but instead added the words "Allaah is three in one" which did not come from Allaah or from Jesus).

Note 1. See Quran 57:28.

Quran 57:17 Koran 57:17 Verse 57:17 Ayah 57:17 Ayat 57:17 Aya 57:17 Know that Allaah gives life to the earth (with rain) after it is lifeless. We (Allaah) have made clear Our (Allaah’s) revelations for you so that you might understand (and choose the right path).

Quran 57:18 Koran 57:18 Verse 57:18 Ayah 57:18 Ayat 57:18 Aya 57:18 Those men and women who give charity and lend to Allaah a good loan (of themselves and what they possess and live in the way of Allaah), it (the loan) shall be increased for them (when Allaah repays the loan in the hereafter) and they shall have a good reward (in Paradise Jannah).

Quran 57:19 Koran 57:19 Verse 57:19 Ayah 57:19 Ayat 57:19 Aya 57:19 And those who believe in Allaah and His (Allaah’s) messengers are the sincere (supporters of truth who have been with Prophet Muhammad from the beginning) and the martyrs who are with their Lord (Allaah), they shall have their reward and their light (of righteous knowledge that was acquired in the life of the world) while those who disbelieve and reject Our (Allaah’s) revelations shall be the companions of the hell fire Jahannam.

Quran 57:20 Koran 57:20 Verse 57:20 Ayah 57:20 Ayat 57:20 Aya 57:20 Know that the life of the world is only play and amusement and show and boasting among yourselves and rivalry in wealth and in children. And it (the life of the world) is like the vegetation after rain when its growth is pleasing to the cultivator, but later it dries up and you see it turning yellow and then it becomes (lifeless) pieces. And in the Hereafter there is a great punishment (for the wrong doers) and forgiveness from Allaah and His (Allaah’s) good pleasure (for the good doers), whereas the life of the world is (like) the enjoyment of an illusion (created by Allaah that shall soon disappear).

Comment 1. The life of the world is like the enjoyment of an illusion because your life on the earth shall disappear at your time of death.

Quran 57:21 Koran 57:21 Verse 57:21 Ayah 57:21 Ayat 57:21 Aya 57:21 Race to ask forgiveness from your Lord (Allaah). A garden (of Paradise) whose width is like the width of the heavens and the Earth is prepared for those who believe in Allaah and His (Allaah’s) messengers. This is the bounty of Allaah that He (Allaah) gives to whoever He (Allaah) wills. Allaah is the possessor of great bounty.

Comment 1. The size of Paradise Jannah.

Quran 57:22 Koran 57:22 Verse 57:22 Ayah 57:22 Ayat 57:22 Aya 57:22 No disaster can happen on Earth or among yourselves except as it is recorded in a decree (the Preserved Book, al-Lawh al-Mahfuz) before We (Allaah) bring it into existence and that is easy for Allaah (to do).

Comment 1. The Preserved Book.

The creation and events in the creation have been predetermined meaning they are written in a book but are based on behaviour which Allaah has already seen in the past and present and future.

Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I (Allaah), namely  I, am He, and there is no (other) Allaah with Me (One Allaah alone is the creator and ruler of every creation); I kill, and I make alive; I have wounded, and I heal; and there is none that can deliver (what I have decreed) out of My hand.

See Quran 56:78 comments.

Quran 57:23 Koran 57:23 Verse 57:23 Ayah 57:23 Ayat 57:23 Aya 57:23 Do not feel sad for what you do not have nor exalt because of what you have been given (by Allaah). Allaah does not love those who boast with arrogance (pride).

Quran 57:24 Koran 57:24 Verse 57:24 Ayah 57:24 Ayat 57:24 Aya 57:24 Those who are miserly and who encourage other people to also be miserly (Allaah does not need their charity). And whoever turns away (from Allaah should) know that Allaah has no needs, (Allaah is) worthy of all praise (because it is Allaah who gives everything to Allaah’s creation).

Quran 57:25 Koran 57:25 Verse 57:25 Ayah 57:25 Ayat 57:25 Aya 57:25 We (Allaah) sent Our (Allaah’s) messengers with clear proofs and We (Allaah) sent down with them the Scripture and the balance (for decisions) so that they may establish justice among the people. And We (Allaah) sent down iron in which is power and might and benefits for the people. Allaah knows what is unseen (in the heart) and shows (through their good deeds) the person who support Him (Allaah) and His (Allaah’s) messengers. Allaah is strong and almighty.

Quran 57:26 Koran 57:26 Verse 57:26 Ayah 57:26 Ayat 57:26 Aya 57:26 And We (Allaah) sent Prophet Noah Nuh and Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and placed the prophethood and the scripture among their descendants. And among them are those who do right but many of them are wrong doers.

Quran 57:27 Koran 57:27 Verse 57:27 Ayah 57:27 Ayat 57:27 Aya 57:27 Then We (Allaah) caused Our (Allaah’s) messengers to follow in their (Prophet Noah’s Nuh’s and Prophet Abraham’s Ibrahim’s) footsteps (meaning, to follow in their way) and We (Allaah) caused Prophet Jesus Isa, son of Mary Maryam to follow, and gave him the Gospel Injil and placed compassion and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. But monasticism (living alone without a wife or a husband in monasteries as a nun, monk or friar) they invented it to seek Allaah’s pleasure. We (Allaah) did not ordain it for them. But the Gospel Injil they did not observe correctly (when some Christians did not follow the first and most important commandment confirmed by Jesus in the Gospel Injil that "Allaah is one" but instead added the words "Allaah is three in one" which did not come from Allaah or from Jesus). So We (Allaah) give those who believed their reward, but many of them are wrong doers.

Comment 1. Monasticism in Christianity.

In Christianity some people invented something that Allaah did not order, monasticism (living alone without a wife or a husband in monasteries as a nun, monk or friar) but some failed to correctly observe the commandments that were ordered by Allaah in the Gospel Injil.

Comment 2. The Quran confirms the Torah Taurat and explains the story of Jesus in the Gospel Injil.

G. Jews and Christians who follow their Book and also believe the Quran will be rewarded twice in the hereafter.

See Quran 28:54 comments in Quran chapter 28.

Quran 57:28 Koran 57:28 Verse 57:28 Ayah 57:28 Ayat 57:28 Aya 57:28 All you (the Jews and the Christians in Quran 57:27 and Quran 57:29) that believe, Fear Allaah and believe in His (Allaah’s) messenger and He (Allaah) shall give you a double portion of His (Allaah’s) mercy and provide for you a Light (of righteous knowledge meaning Jews who follow the Tanakh Jewish scripture and believe the Quran are correctly observing the Torah Taurat and meaning Christians who follow the Gospels and believe the Quran are correctly observing the Gospel Injil and Muslims who follow the Quran so that it agrees with the Tanakh Jewish scripture and the Gospel Injil are correctly observing the warning from Allaah in Quran 4:136 that whoever has no faith in Allaah’s Books has strayed far away from Allaah because the Books of Allaah are the light) by which you shall walk (on the correct path in Quran 2:40 - 2:41, Quran 4:136 and Quran 28:48 - 28:49) and (in the hereafter) He (Allaah) shall forgive you (of your past sins). Allaah is forgiving and merciful. (Jews like Quran 3:113 - 3:115 and Christians like Quran 5:82 - 5:85 who follow their Book in Quran 5:68 and also believe the Quran will receive their reward twice in Quran 28:54, twofold in Quran 34:37 and double in Quran 57:28 in the hereafter meaning the reward for every good deed they do will be doubled because they believed the Quran which tells the Jewish people to follow the Torah Taurat which is their eternal covenant between Allaah and the Hebrew people forever and tells the Christian people to follow the Gospel Injil which is explained in the Quran and tells the Muslim people to follow the Quran is confirmed in Quran 2:40, Quran 2:41, Quran 2:62, Quran 2:106, Quran 3:93, Quran 4:123, Quran 5:43, Quran 5:47, Quran 5:48, Quran 5:69 and Quran 13:39). - (Continued in Quran 57:29).

Comment 1. Jews and Christians who follow their Book and also believe the Quran will be given a double reward in the hereafter.

The good news message from Allaah for Jews and Christians delivered 1400 years ago by Prophet Muhammad in Quran 28:54, Quran 34:37 and Quran 57:28.

1. Jews and Christians who follow their Book and also believe the Quran shall receive a double reward in the hereafter in Quran 28:54, Quran 34:37 and Quran 57:28.

2. Jews who follow the Tanakh Jewish scripture and believe the Quran are correctly observing the Torah Taurat.

3. Christians who follow the Gospels and believe the Quran are correctly observing the Gospel Injil.

4. Muslims who follow the Quran so that it agrees with the Tanakh Jewish scripture and the Gospel Injil are correctly observing the Quran.

Quran 5:48 Verse 5:48 And to you (Prophet Muhammad) We (Allaah) revealed the Scripture (the Quran) with the truth that confirmed the Scripture that was before it (in the Gospel Injil and the Torah Taurat) and (for you Prophet Muhammad to be) a guardian over it (the Quran). So judge between them (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) by what Allaah has revealed (to you Prophet Muhammad) and do not let their desires move you away from the truth that has come to you. For each (community of Jews, Christians and Muslims) We (Allaah) have appointed a divine law and a way (of religion). If Allaah willed He (Allaah) could have made you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) one community. But He (Allaah) tests you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) by what He (Allaah) has given you (in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil of Jesus Isa by Mark, Matthew, Luke and John and the Koran Quran to show who is best in behaviour). So strive for all that is good. To Allaah you shall all return and He (Allaah) shall then inform you (in the Hereafter) about (the correctness of) the religious matters in which you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) argue among each other.

Note 1. Allaah does not require humans to all be in one religion (Quran 5:48).

Note 2. Allaah does require that every religion worship only Allaah (Quran 3:85).

Note 3. Allaah says if the Jews and the Christians and others worship only Allaah like the Muslims worship only Allaah then the Jews and the Christians and others are correctly guided by Allaah (Quran 3:64).

Note 4. Allaah commands the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims to do what is good according to what Allaah has given them in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran to show which humans are the best in behaviour.

Note 5. Allaah says that on the Day of Resurrection and Judgement in the hereafter every human will return to Allaah and Allaah shall inform them about the religious matters about which they argued.

Quran 42:15 Verse 42:15 So (Prophet Muhammad) invite (the people to Allaah), and stay on the correct path as you (Prophet Muhammad) are commanded and do not follow their (the peoples) desires (concerning religion) but say, "I believe what Allaah has sent down of the Book (in the Quran and in the Torah Taurat in Quran 2:41, Quran 3:3, Quran 3:93, Quran 5:43, Quran 5:44, Quran 5:68, Quran 20:133 and in the Gospel Injil in Quran 3:3, Quran 5:47, Quran 5:68 and Quran 20:133) and I am commanded that I do justice between you (the Jews, Christians and Muslims). Allaah is our Lord and your Lord (meaning Allaah is the Lord of the Muslims and the Lord of the Jews and the Christians). For us (Muslims is the responsibility for) our deeds and for you (Jews and Christians is the responsibility for) your deeds. There is no argument between us (Muslims) and between you (the Jews and the Christians because Allaah has revealed the same message to all of us to worship Allaah who created you and do good in the world and reject evil in the world). Allaah shall bring us (Muslims and Christians and Jews and all humankind) together and to Him (Allaah) is the final destination (in the hereafter in Quran 2:62, Quran 3:64, Quran 4:123, Quran 5:48 and Quran 5:69).”

Note 1. There is no argument between Muslims and Jews and Christians because the Tanakh Jewish scripture and the Gospel Injil and the Quran contain the same message to worship Allaah and strive for all that is good.

Evil is the killing of Christians, Muslims and Jews.

Evil is the killing of any innocent person.

The righteous among the Jews and Christians and Muslims and others enter Paradise Jannah.

The way of Allaah is forgiveness.

The cause of Allaah is forgiveness.

The example of Allaah is forgiveness.

Righteous are those who forgive.

The way of the Quran is forgiveness.

The cause of the Quran is forgiveness.

The example of the Quran is forgiveness.

The good doers are those who forgive.

The way of Prophet Muhammad is forgiveness.

The cause of Prophet Muhammad is forgiveness.

The example of Prophet Muhammad is forgiveness.

The best of creations are those who forgive.

Allaah forgives those who forgive.

Allaah rewards those who forgive.

If you pardon what people have done and overlook the faults of people and forgive people then Allaah is forgiving and merciful to you (Quran 39:53, Quran 42:43, Quran 45:14 and Quran 64:14).

Allaah forgives you if you forgive others (Quran 39:53, Quran 42:43, Quran 45:14 and Quran 64:14).

Love your neighbour (Quran 42:43).

Love your enemy (Quran 41:34 – 41:36, Quran 42:43 and Quran 60:7).

Forgive your enemy (Quran 41:34 – 41:36 and Quran 42:43. Allaah will forgive even those who mocked Prophet Muhammad and those who plotted to kill Prophet Muhammad if they repent and ask Allaah for forgiveness in Quran 8:30 – 8:33).

Forgive your neighbour (Quran 42:43).

Forgive disbelievers (Quran 45:14).

Forgive believers (Quran 49:10).

Forgive Jews (Quran 5:13).

Forgive the killer (Quran 5:45 and Quran 85:10).

Exploding bombs in crowds is forbidden by Allaah (Quran 48:25).

Fighting today is not in the cause of Allaah (Quran 48:25 comments).

If you pardon what people have done and overlook the faults of people and forgive people then Allaah is forgiving and merciful to you (Quran 39:53, Quran 45:14 and Quran 64:14).

Quran 57:29 Koran 57:29 Verse 57:29 Ayah 57:29 Ayat 57:29 Aya 57:29 (Jews and Christians who followed their Book and also believed the Quran will receive their reward twice in Quran 28:54, twofold in Quran 34:37 and double in Quran 57:28 in the hereafter) so that the people of the Book (the Jews and the Christians who did not believe the Quran for example if Jews did not correctly observe the Torah Taurat by keeping the Sabbath Day which is their everlasting covenant with Allaah in every generation forever or if Christians did not correctly observe the Gospel Injil where Prophet Jesus said he is not God "God is my God and your God" meaning God is my Lord and your Lord and "God is my Father and your Father" meaning God is my Creator and your Creator in Gospel of John 20:17 and that Jesus is the son of God means Jesus is the servant of God delivering the message of God so his mention with angels in Gospel of Mark 13:32 and Gospel of Matthew 24:36 means that angel messengers of God and human messengers of God both do not know the hour meaning do not confuse angel and human messengers with God because only God knows the hour but His angel and human messengers like Jesus and Moses and angels do not know the hour meaning pray only to God and not to the angel and human messengers of God because those who do) may know (in the hereafter) that they do not have power over anything from the bounty of Allaah and that (all) the bounty is in Allaah’s hand. He gives it (Allaah's bounty) to whom He (Allaah) wills. And Allaah is the possessor of the great bounty (of Paradise Jannah).
