3B. Rabbinical literature. Part 1.

      Talmud.

       Oral Torah.

All the five books of Moses in the Torah scrolls have no vowels meaning it would be impossible to know the correct vowel and therefore the correct meaning of words in the Torah without the Oral Torah.

How were vowel markings added to Hebrew letters in the Torah to show their correct meaning? The answer is from oral tradition.

Every Torah scroll in every synagogue today has no vowel markings meaning those who read Torah scrolls today are using the same oral tradition to understand the correct vowel which is what was used before vowel markings were introduced to publish the Torah in a book.

The oral law is not a secret.

The oral law is not a commandment.

The oral law is only explanation.

The Talmud does not add one more commandment to the 613 commandments in the Torah but only tells you how the commandment is done for example how to slaughter an animal and what time to pray and what is the monetary compensation given if an eye is damaged and these same guidelines were followed by the prophets in the Jewish Bible.

If you do not believe the oral law that means you believe the Torah orders if a bind man pokes out someone’s eye then the blind man’s eye must be poked out in “an eye for an eye”. This is wrong but without the oral law how would you know that “an eye for an eye” means compensation for a damaged eye and not literally poking out someone’s eye?

Respect those who believe in the oral law (the Orthodox Jews) and those who do not believe it (the Karaite Jews).

Those two Jewish groups are like the Sunni and the Shia in Islam meaning they all believe in one God meaning differences between Sunni Muslims/Shia Muslims and between Orthodox Jews/Karaite Jews are small because of their common belief that there is one creator who orders humans to return to good behaviour whenever a human makes a mistake.

A. Deuteronomy 17:8 - 17:13 says ask the priests about things you do not know or about controversial matters and do what the priests tell you.

Deuteronomy 17:11 According to the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall do; you shall not turn aside from the word which they tell to you, to the right, nor to the left..

Deuteronomy 17:12 And the man that intentionally does not obey the priest that stands to minister there before the LORD your God, or to the judge, that man shall die; and you shall abolish evil from Israel..

Deuteronomy 17:13 And all the people shall hear, and fear, and they shall no longer act intentionally (against the commandment of God).

B. What is “you shall afflict your souls?”

The oral Torah (oral law) explains the meaning of “you shall afflict your souls” which is not explained in the written Torah.

The prophets knew the oral law as shown in Isaiah 58:5 - 58:11.

Prophet Isaiah is a Pharisee meaning an Orthodox Jew because he quotes from the Oral Torah in explaining that to “afflict the soul” which is not explained in the Torah does not mean “to only fast." 

To afflict the soul includes no eating, no drinking, no using leather shoes, no bathing, no washing, no putting on perfumes or lotions, no marital relations and means pray, repenting of your sins and doing righteous deeds like giving charity. 

Leviticus 16:31 It is a Sabbath of solemn rest for you and you shall afflict your souls, it is a statute forever. 

Leviticus 23:20 (Yom Kippur) For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that same day shall be cut off from his people.

C. Deuteronomy 12:21 “… you may slaughter any cattle or sheep that the Lord gives you, as I have instructed you …” (note that only in the oral law are these instructions found). 

D. In Matthew 23:1 - 23:3 (Jesus says) “… do everything they (the Pharisees meaning the orthodox Jews who follow the Torah and the oral law) tell you …” (All the prophets after Moses confirmed the Torah and the oral law in Deuteronomy 17:8 - 17:13). 

E. Deuteronomy 16:1 You shall observe the month of springtime and preform the Pesach offering for the Lord, your God, because in the month of springtime the Lord your God took you out of Egypt at night. (Passover must occur in springtime and only in the oral law are the instructions for adjusting the calender so that Passover always occurs in springtime). 

F. Before the fifth century there was no vowel system and the meaning of the vowels in the Torah all came from the oral law. 

In the eight and ninth century rabbis known as Masoretes recorded what had only been known orally by adding dots and lines to indicate the vowel in the Jewish Bible and this is called the Masoretic text. 

Torah scrolls today still have no vowel dots or lines because they must be preserved as they were revealed however in books containing the Jewish Bible dots and lines have been added to show the vowel and these are called the Masoretic text. 

G. The Dead Sea scrolls have no vowel marking meaning they were understood by the people of their time and by people today according to the oral law. 

H. Gospel of John 7:20 - 7:23 (there is no prohibition in healing anyone during the Sabbath therefore no Pharisee meaning orthodox Jew who follows the Torah and the oral law would object to the healing of anyone during the Sabbath. When Jesus talks about circumcising a child on the Sabbath Jesus is quoting from what is in the oral law and not in the written Torah). 

i. How to construct the Phylactery and what verses of the Torah are contained in the Phylacteries is not stated in the written Torah but is stated in the Oral Torah (Oral law) and this is confirmed by 2200 year old Phylacteries found with Dead Sea Scrolls in the Qumran caves which are the same as Phylacteries today.

3D. Messiah. Part 1.

       Moshiach.

The Jewish Bible describes many messiahs who are Jewish and non Jewish Kings or priests or prophets. 

Kings or priests or prophets who were anointed with oil or had a leadership position were called a messiah. 

Jesus is a prophet in the sight of Allah in the Gospel of Luke 24:19 and Jesus is one of many messiahs in history but he is not the messiah in Tanakh who will be biologically related to King David because Jesus had no biological father which is the only way in which tribe can be inherited in Judaism and is the way in which Allah promised inheritance to King David through his biological descendants.

Gospel of Mark 13:5 – 13:6 and 13:21 – 13:23 tells us that Prophet Jesus is not returning to this earth meaning Jesus will only return when all humans return on the Day of Resurrection. 

Quran 33:40 tells us that no prophet is allowed on the earth after the death of Prophet Muhammad and the Jewish Bible tells us a messiah will be a King who is a descendant of King David Dawud and he will have a family. 

The Jewish Bible preserves information about a time on the Earth called “the Messianic Age” when everyone in the world will know the truth about God and war on earth will end and a messiah will be a King who is a descendant of King David Dawud and he will have a family to fulfil the promise that leadership would continue through his descendants forever. . 

The Jewish people are expecting Prophet Elijah Eliyahu Ilyas who will identify lost Jews such as those from the lost tribes of Israel so that they may gather together before the arrival of a messiah who will be a King.

Prophet Elijah Eliyahu Ilyas has a special mission to fulfil the promise of Allah in Malachi 3:23 to gather the Jews together including the descendants from the lost tribes of Israel before the coming of a messiah who will be a King.

Jewish Bible Malachi 3:23 Behold, I will send you Elijah Eliyahu Ilyas the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD.

The revelation from Allah in Quran 33:40 showing that no prophet is allowed on the earth after the death of Prophet Muhammad relates to Islam.

The revelation from Allah in the Jewish Bible Malachi 3:23 relates to Judaism meaning there is no contradiction from the revelations of Allah in the Quran and the Jewish Bible. 

The promise to send a King who will rule forever is in the Jewish Bible 2 Samuel 7:12 – 7:16. 

This understanding is explained and confirmed in Quran 2:40 and Quran 5:48.

Fulfill My covenant (in the Torah) and I (Allah) will fulfill your covenant (in the Torah) and fear (no one but) Me (Allah. A false prophet will believe the word of Allah has changed in Deuteronomy 13:2-13:4 and 1 Kings 13:14-1 Kings 13:24. Paul is a false prophet because he teaches the word of Allah in the Torah changed in Romans chapter 7 and teaches new words that cannot be found in the Torah. Muhammad is a true prophet because he confirms Allah orders Jews to follow the Torah Taurat in Quran 2:40 and Jews be protected as “the people of the book.” Jews who follow their book and also believe the Quran are promised a double reward in the hereafter in Quran 28:54, Quran 34:37 and Quran 57:28 meaning the reward for every good deed they do will be doubled because they believed the Quran which tells the Jewish people to follow the Torah Taurat which is their eternal covenant between Allah and the Hebrew people forever). 

Note 1. The Torah Taurat is the covenant agreement between the Jewish people and Allah forever in each generation until the Day of Judgement.

Note 2. Allah is telling the Jews to follow their covenant meaning the Torah saying that everything Allah has promised to the children of Israel in the Torah Allah shall fulfill in the words “I will fulfill your covenant” meaning everything in the Torah will be fulfilled as promised by Allah.

Quran 5:48 Verse 5:48 "... For each (community of Jews, Christians and Muslims) We (Allah) have appointed a divine law and a way (of religion). If Allah willed He (Allah) could have made you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) one community. But He (Allah) tests you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) by what He (Allah) has given you (in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil of Jesus Isa by Mark, Matthew, Luke and John and the Koran Quran to show who is best in behaviour). So strive for all that is good. The Torah is protected for 100,000 years if humans live for 100 years in Torah Deuteronomy 5:10 which Prophet Moses Musa shows means the Torah is protected forever in Torah Deuteronomy 29:28 and the Torah is protected forever as confirmed by Prophet David Dawud in Zabur Psalm 111:7 - 111:9 and the Torah is protected forever as confirmed by Prophet Jesus Isa in the Gospel of Matthew 5:17 - 5:19 and the Torah is protected forever as confirmed by Prophet Muhammad in Quran 2:40 – 2:41, Quran 6:115 and Quran 10:64. 

To confirm the Books of Allah that were revealed in the past means to confirm what is in the hands of the people today for example when Prophet Jesus Isa confirmed the Torah which came before him in Quran 61:6 he was confirming the protected Torah that was in the hands of the Jewish people in the Gospel of Matthew 5:17 - 5:19. 

In the same way when Prophet Muhammad confirmed the Torah Taurat in Quran 3:3 he was confirming the protected Torah that was in the hands of the Jewish people in Quran 2:40 – 2:41, Quran 6:115 and Quran 10:64. 

The proof Allah is real is that the Books of Allah do not change in Quran 6:115 and Quran 10:64 and this is why Prophet Jesus is confirming the book that did not change which came before him and Prophet Muhammad is confirming the book that did not change which came before him. 

If the Books of Allah changed then Quran 6:115 and Quran 10:64 shows that instead of confirming and explaining each other these books would oppose each other and be unable to explain each other. 

In Quran 4:136 Allah says “whoever has no faith in the books of Allah has strayed far away from Allah” because it is the books of Allah that are the proof Allah is real. 

Satan Shaitan whispers “the books of Allah are corrupted” but this belief is the opposite to what Allah is teaching the Jewish people in the Torah Taurat and opposite to what Allah is teaching the Christian people in the four Gospel Injil and opposite to what Allah is teaching the Muslim people in the Quran. 

Those who look for differences between the Books of Allah are guided to find differences but those who have faith in all the books of Allah are guided to see how the Jewish Bible with the Jews and the four Gospel Injil with the Christians and the Quran with the Muslims all confirm and explain each other. 

What looks like a contradiction can sometimes be a test from Allah to show who loves Allah and who understands and obeys the teachings of Allah in the Torah Taurat which all later books must confirm. 

For example some of the 27 books in the Christian Bible teach the opposite to what Jesus teaches in the four Gospel Injil as a test from Allah that is explained in Torah Deuteronomy 13:2 – 13:4. 

Another example are some verses from the Jewish Bible quoted out of context in the Gospels to show who understands the teachings of Allah in the Torah which every later book must confirm and who disobeys the teachings of Allah as shown in the Jewish Bible story in 1 Kings 13:14 - 1 Kings 13:24. 

The Torah with the Jews and the four Gospels by four unknown writers traditionally called Mark, Matthew, Luke and John with the Christians have been decreed until the Day of Judgement and these are the books confirmed and explained in the Quran 1400 years ago and today as proof Allah is real. 

Since we know that misunderstandings of the Jewish Bible verses in the Gospels come from the four unknown men who wrote those Gospels then men and women in the Christian community today should consider adding notes to verses saying “this verse quotes the Jewish Bible verse out of context and Jesus who was a teacher of the Jewish Bible would not quote Jewish Bible verses out of context.” 

The Christian community should also add notes to all letters and books in the 27 books in the New Testament Bible which teach the opposite to what Jesus is teaching in the four Gospels by stating "this letter or book teaches the opposite to what Jesus is teaching in the four Gospels." 

None of the above suggestions is possible unless Allah wills it because these are the books decreed by Allah for the Christian community. 

Although Jews and Christians have been told to follow their Books in Quran 3:93, Quran 5:43, Quran 5:47, Quran 5:48, Quran 5:68 and Quran 32:23, Allah shall attract some Jews and Christians to Islam and those Jews and Christians will receive a double reward in the hereafter in Quran 28:54.

Christians believe that when the Antichrist comes he will build the temple and sit on the throne of David as an impostor which contradicts Ezekiel 37:28 where the nations will know God when the temple is in the midst of the children of Israel forever meaning when the temple exists both Jews and non Jews will know God meaning people who wrote stories about an Antichrist were not inspired by God.

Christian 1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denies Jesus is the Christ?

He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.
