Goalkeepers

Matt Smith: (16/4/1997) The 20-year-old signed from Newcastle Benfield during the 2015-16 season. Made his debut in monsoon-like conditions at Thornaby and caught just about everything. A stalwart in goal.

Lee Martin: (11/4/1989) In his second spell at The Stan who includes Newcastle Benfield  and Bedlington Terriers among his previous clubs.

Dan Mullen: Dan joined the Stan at the beginning of this season and had a loan spell at Alnwick Town before being recalled for our home game against Crook Town.

Jake Burns: Signed from Shildon under 23's on loan Jake was cover for our usual number 1 who was unavailable.

Defenders

Michael Hall: Mikey is a centre-half who we signed from Whitley Bay to replace Iulian Petrache.

Matthew Parker: A promising young full-back recently signed from Washington F.C. Made his debut away to Blyth and looked very comfortable.

Lee Middleton: Lee, recently signed from Blyth Town, can play at full-back but centre-half is his preferred position.

Jake Trodd: Ex-Newcastle United youth defender Jake joins us after a spell at Team Northumbria.

Iulian Petrache:

Matthew McCarthy: Joined us over the summer, Matty can play in a number of positions in midfield and defence.

Alistair Stoddart: (16/12/1991) 25-year-old versatile defender who can play across the back four and in midfield. Very quick and comfortable on the ball and a great reader of the game. Player of the Year and Players Player in 2015-16.

Joe Wear: (1/10/1982) A very experienced former Hartlepool and Blyth Spartans player who is club captain. Strong on the ground, great in the tackle and shows tremendous composure on the ball.

Jordan Ray: (27/7/1994) A young, talented defender signed from Sunday football. Jordan is quick and strong with good distribution. Now in his fourth season with us and a mainstay of the team. Previous clubs include Walker Central, Newcastle East End and Wallsend Boys Club. He returned this season after a serious injury.

William James (Willsa): (8/3/1989) The quiet man of the team. A very quick left back in his sixth season with the club. Consistent, comfortable on the ball and loves to get forward.

Matty McCarthy: The 20-year-old signed for the club in the summer. 

Adam Laidler: A new signing from Blyth Town over the summer who has fitted straight into the team at left wing-back. The 20-year-old has shown endless energy to get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes.

Andrew Keenan: A new signing from Alnwick Town. Can play in midfield or right-back.

Jack Watchman: A right-back who can also play at centre-half or in midfield. Spent last season at Chester-le-Street and signed for the Stan after moving to the area.

Danny Sayer: Pacey wide player who can play in defence as well as midfield. Previous clubs West Allotment Celtic and Bedlington Terriers.

Midfielders

Lewis Burns: Exciting winger who rejoined the club after 18 months away in Australia.

Liam Wotherspoon: Previous clubs include Blyth Spartans.

Dean Deagle: (26/12/1991) Ex-Hull City youth and reserve team player, who made a number of appearances for Ashington. Spent a couple of seasons with Shankhouse in the Northern Alliance and always impressed when playing against us.

Kye Waters: (20/5/1991) A tough tackler who has returned to the Stan from Walker Central. The 26-year-old can play in a number of positions across defence and midfield.

Dean Imray: (13/12/1991) Signed from Walker Central, Dean is a solid midfielder and scores goals.

Paul Chapman: The 26-year-old is a powerful mifielder who is in his second spell with the Stan after being a regular back in our Northern Alliance days..

Gary Dixon: (13/4/1988) Left sided player who is also at home in the middle. A box to box player with great energy levels who has returned from retirement.

Lee Johnson: (8/10/1991) A naturally gifted player with superb awareness and touch. Equally at home scoring goals or setting them up for others. Previously with team Northumbria and Bedlington Terriers.

Joe Fulcher: (7/5/1982) Slotted straight back into the club after 2 years away due to work commitments.

Ryan Bailey: (8/5/1994) Joined us from North Shields Athletic. Very comfortable on the ball with a good passing range and battling qualities. Plays with an old head on young shoulders.

Salihu Ayala Portella: 'Sal' is an attacking player who recently steped from the reserve team.

Josh Holland: (18/12/1992) A winger signed from Ryton & Crawcrook Albion last season after impressing in a game against us.

Joe Fulcher: (7/5/1982) Slotted straight back into the club after 2 years away due to work commitments..

Forwards

Andy Robertson: Powerful striker Andy has returned to the Stan after a spell at Whitley Bay.

Abubaker Salim: Abu is in his second spell with the Stan and can play in a variety of attacking positions.

Ethan Tait: Ethan joined us after impressing in a game against us for West Allotment Celtic.

Salihu Portella:

Richie Hoggins: (26/10/1991) The ultimate utility man, Richie 25, has played in just about every position including a few appearances as a goalkeeper.

Lawrence McKenna (Tred): Returned in the summer after four seasons away. A regular in our Northern Alliance days, the 29-year-old has also been at Whickham, Bedlington Terriers, Newcastle Benfield, Ryton and Crawcrook Albion and West Allotment Celtic.

Jonathan Wright: (1993) Scores for fun, has returned after a spell at Bishop Auckland. Previous clubs include Hibernian, Marske, Jarrow Roofing.

Shane Jones: (3/2/1997) An intelligent player signed from Newcastle Benfield in 2015-16. The 20-year-old became a regular last season with some impressive displays and willingness to play out of position.

Dan Robinson: (13/4/1989) The 28-year-old is a pacey, direct striker with plenty of Northern League experience. Finished last season as top scorer in his first season. Previous clubs include Seaham Red Star and West Allotment Celtic.

Jacob Joyce: A powerful centre-forward signed just before the F.A. Cup deadline to boost attacking options. Impressed on his debut after coming on as a sub against Team Northumbria.

Gary (Legendinho) Yates: (3/8/1983) The clubs longest serving player, who has scored countless goals for us over the past decade. Very hard working, gifted in the air and a tremendous club man all round.

Paul Blackett: A young strong centre-forward who has recently rejoined the Stan.

Matty Hayton: Pacey goalscorer who terrorises defenders.
