Goalkeepers
Shaun Backhouse (Shanny): A loyal servant of the club who has Northern league experience with Washington. A great shot stopper and one of the best and bravestkeepers in the Northern Alliance over the past few seasons.
Rikki Donaldson: Very agile for a big lad.
Defenders
Lee Chapman (Chappy): Quick, great in the tackle and loves to get forward. Always shows total commitment. Previous Northern League experience with Chetser-le-Street.
Dean Deagle: Ex- Hull City youth and reserve team player, who has made a number of appearances for Ashington. Spent the last couple of seasons with Shankhouse in the Northern Alliance and always impressed when playing against us.
Richard Hoggins: A versatile defender signed from Walker Central.
William James (Willsa): The quiet man of the team. Avery quick left back in his fifth season with the club. Consistent, comfortable on the ball and loves to get forward.
Gary McGarrigal (Gaz): Third season with the club. Signed from junior football from Wallsend Boys Club; a great prospect who is quick, great in the air and very consistent.
Ben Telford: Fourth season with the club after signing from junior football and has improved each campaign. quick and strong, he loves to get forward and has scored some important goals.
Joe Wear: A very experienced former hartlepool and Blyth Spartans player who is club captain. Strong on the ground, great in the tackle and shows tremendous composure on the ball.
Midfielders
Paul Blakey: A new signing for this season, with bags of Northern League experience; his former teams include North Shields, Alnwick Town and Morpeth Town. A great passer of the ball who loves a tackle and can get goals; a great acquisition to the squad.
Kevin Carr: Can play on either flank or down the middle. Quick, direct and one of the best strikers of the ball at the club. A great finisher who has scored some quality goals.
Gary Dixon (Dicka): Left sided player who is also at home in the middle. A box to box player with great energy levels who weighs in with his share of goals.Formerly of Jarrow Roofing. Currently out with a broken tibia.
Adam Donaghey: In his second spell with the club after playing with West Auckland Town and Newcastle Benfield.
Joseph Fulcher (Ducky): Ex-Benfield and Hebburn Town. Very experienced player; strong on the ball and an excellent passer who keeps it simple.
Anthony Johnson (Jonnas): Second season with the club after signing from Chester-le-Street. can play on either flank, where his electric pace is an assett. Works hard for the team and get his share of goals.
Paul Mills (Millsa): Played for us about 5 years ago. Skilful and clever with an eye for a goal; can play right across the middle or up front.
Keiran Weekes: Deadline day signing from Brandon United. Made an impressive debut on the wing against North Shields.
Ben Wood: Young player who joined us at the back end of last season fromWalker central. Very comfortable on the ball with a good strike and range of passing.
Strikers
Clay Darrell: A bermudan international living in Heaton. Made a scoring debut away to Esh Winning.
Brian Dodsworth (Doddsy): A fantastic signing for the club who can play in a number of positions; quick, skilful, hard-working and scores goals. An important member of Newcastle Benfields 2008-09 double winning side; also played for Bedlington terriers and Ryton and Crawcrook Albion.
Lee Johnson: A naturally gifted player with superb awareness and touch. Equally at home scoring goals or setting them up for others.Previously with team Northumbria and Bedlington Terriers.
Darryl Leach: Previously played for us a number of seasons ago; strong, blessed with a great touchand holds the ball up well. A great striker of the ball with either foot, who has previous Northern league experience with Jarrow roofing and has recovered from a bad injury. He spent last season with Walker Central.
Lawrence McKenna (Tred): Left us in summer 2011 after finishing second top scorer in the Alliance and grabbing the winner in the George Dobbins League Cup Final. Moved to Whickham, Bedlington terriers, Newcastle benfield, ryton and Crawcrook Albion and West Allotment Celtic, but is now back where he belongs. A strong forward who holds the ball up and is blessed with a great touch.
Phil Smith: Recently arrived from Wallsend Town. Has made a strong impression, especially on referees......

Gary Yates (Yatesy): the clubs longest serving player, who has scored countless goals for us over the past decade. Very hard working, gifted in the air and a tremendous club man all round/
